8. California Route 36. This is a fun road to ride but, it is not a beautiful ride. Many areas of the state have more to offer in the way of scenery. If you do take it, be sure to fill up before starting. There are only two fuel stops along the route. Both are about 70 miles into the 140+ miles of twists and mild hills. Assuming they are refering to the portion that runs from the coast to I-5.

I've got 8 of the rides.. And I agree 36 is a fun ride but not at all scenic.. Any one of our 5 Sierra passes are much prettier and all most as challenging..
