:watching:  Anyone deal with steve Scott of Jessco (aka CaptainMidnight85) and get what they paid for?

I paypal'd him money 20 days  ago and since then he will not respond to my emails and voicemails.  Seems like a pretty nice sngle carb manifold for the GL1100 shown in the pic's, but I can't run the bike with a picture.  Contacted Randakk and he's removed links to Jessco because of more complaints similar to mine.  Can't believe a Goldwinger would rip another Goldwinger off!

I paid Steve Scott of Jessco (aka CaptainMidnight85) for one of his single carb manifolds for the GL1100 over 20 days ago, and since then he won't respond to my many emails and voicemails.  Talked to Randakk today and he has removed the Jessco links from his site because of complaints like mine.  I want to hope for the best of people, but I'm feeling scammed!  These days when someone rips you off it HURTS!  Anybody else had dealing with Steve?

He's been around here and pretty active for quite some time. Here lately he's had some long breaks (couple of weeks) between postings. I wouldn't have thought he would spend that much time here just to try to scam some folks. I'd think he would show up before too long.

Until you have proof of your scamming accusations I suggest you edit your post by deleting this persons name.

He made 3 posts two days ago so he couldn't be too far out there.

You don't need two separate discussions on this, can a moderator merge them into one?

CaptainMidnight has been a member here for quite a while. I've seen him called a few names, but scammer isn't one of them.
I would expect there is an explanation for the delay, but lack of communication isn't good. Like Mike said, PM him and get this settled.

I'm going to step out on a limb here and try to settle the air a bit.

Steve makes these manifolds himself as they are ordered. He does not have a stockpile of them sitting on a shelf. He's one guy working out of his garage filling a niche. Quality manufacture of a multi-piece part takes a little time if you want it done right. Give him a little breathing room.

I did find the following on his page just now:

Group Purchase Available NOW! - Spring is Here!

Our Group Purchase Policy currently does not allow for individual sales. With every Group of 10 Pre-Paid Sales we ship within two weeks.

I'd have to guess that he may not have 10 pre-paid sales at the moment.

Steve isn't a scammer, that's for sure. He'll deliver as promised...it just may take him a few days.

As suggested, shoot him a polite PM, I'm pretty sure this will work itself out pretty easily.

BTW...Welcome to the forum!

agreed on what Mike just said.

Steve is straight up and honest.

overloaded with work, or just not close to a computer, don't know.

But he will answer you and he will have a good definitive answer for the delay.

A scammer he is not, he is a hard working fellow who goes out of his way to help other wingers on the forum here. all for free, as most of us do, in fact, all of us do.

no salaries around here, except for that 30 mana stipend i get on my retirement fund

...I'm in here every night, but not always at home. I've phoned the fella who posted this (these) thread prior to his posting of it. A continued lack of communication on my end. Don't blame him. I ain't hiding. I just ain't using the phone...

In any event, I've become aware of two problem manifolds and am at a halt on further orders until I figure out what the actual problem is. Unfortunately, I'm also at a halt on existing orders as well, to include the fella above and a few others. He is not the only individual. Others know who they are assuming they participate on this site.

I've had two breakages happen with tubing runners and don't know exactly why as of right now. I've one manifold in transit to me, and another that was repaired by the owner and operational again.

But yes, I've been a bit overwhelmed with this venture and others lately.

Hey, ...I'm human too.

With the crap that we all hear about that gets washed on the net, ..I'd probably feel screwed too.

Steve.

Good.  That worked out well.  The guy asked a legit question and got an answer.  Times are tough all over.  We understand.  Well done guys.

Us as a society need to learn to have patience. My wife is one that wants things "NOW". I myself am very patient. I would hope this fella understands that he (Steve) is wanting to put out a quality piece of equipment and I would do the same if I had some unexpected problems arise.

I aplaud Steve in his desire to make sure things are right before sending more out. So many others would just say "Oh well" and be done with it.

Patience is increased with a little communication.

If you're having a problem, notify people and most will be understanding.

I have no problem waiting on something, if I'm advised of the reasons.

I do!
I believe that if someone has something for sale.... then they should be able to provide the item.

I would never take someones money for something if I was unable to produce the product in a timely manner.

If there is an issue with the quality of the product, I would quit selling it until the problem was corrected.

But...... that's just me.

I wish you could come explain that to every person that comes into the ER where I work.

They want McDonalds drive-thru speed when concerning their health care.

This was the problem, not the product or quality.

"I paypal'd him money 20 days ago and since then he will not respond to my emails and voicemails."

Apparently from his post CM85 agreed.
