I find the corbin comfortable on my 1500 . I like the backrest . Problem is I ride two up frequently . The backrest is a PIA for MrsOWP . So the its been removed . One day I'll make it flip forward like a Utopia , then it may get used again .

No , I havent seen the new Corbin .I'll give there website a lookysee. I do have a Utopia on the 1100 and figured one day I'll clone that hinge onto the Corbin .

Now that would be great Mike, I had the moveable seat back on the corbin on the VStar and had Utopia on the VStar1300 but this one is fixed and boy would I like the movable. Might look into that myself. Can't be too hard, right!

Well thanks to the hubby, we took the Utopia backrest off the stock wing and put it on the corbin. Took soe work but sure is nice.

Move the trunk back a couple inches and the misses will be good to go with your backrest.

Thats how I bought my Corbin for my Valkyrie - eBay. Love it!

NEW ONES?I bought my Corbin in 1997, it's rider's backrest flips forwards ... and the rest is easily simply lifted up out of it's recepticle for mounting if desired if you haven't inserted a lock bolt in the stem under the seat. It's also adjustable in height with that lever. Thanks,  But I looked at your link, thinking you were referring to some big changes in the backrest. The 1500 has always been stepped up for the passenger than the 1200 seat, and the stitching is different aand mine has the lever to adjust the height of back rest .... .... but the back rest is the same as far as I can tell, just stitched in a different pattern.
