My chrome trim around the lower saddlebags and back of my 1500 was looking pretty bad, peeled, yellowed, etc.  Mother Honda wants a arm and a leg for all 5 pieces, and local automotive stores don't carry the correct type of 5/8 inch chrome mouldings, so I did a little research and found a 20 Ft roll for about $25 with shipping.  Got it in yesterday, and after measuring and cutting to replace the old sections, installed, and now, it looks just like it did when it was new(at least the chrome does.).  Honda's cost from hdlparts(before shipping) about $91, my cost from SportWing INC., $25 with shipping, plus enough left over to redo it again, if I ever need to.  Part# MLD-DM20 from: http://www.sportwing.com/catalog/displaycat.pcgi?fm_catid=92&fm_subcatid=106

Well, the before might be a problem, although I still might have the old pieces laying around, the after I'll get posted when I get back to the house on the 21st, but if you see a 1500 with perfect chrome strip at the bottom of the saddlebags, then that gives you an idea.  Looks just like it did when it left the factory.  My software for uploading from my cameraphone is on the computer at my house in Texas.:D

Thanks for the info.  I just need 3 of the small chrome covers that join the molding together.  Didn't see it on that site.

Any idea who might have them, or even part numbers from Honda?  Thanks.

PN 81247-MN5-000  $3.89 each from hdlparts.com.  Didn't know what year yours is, but the clip is the same on all the 1500s.
