Hobo, Forum Mascot wrote: Okay folks, I haven't posted for a while and I know one or two of you have been wondering whats going on.

Well, there is a very good reason for me being AWOL: - A have been staying with Bigeesteve for a while and taking in the sights of Gettysberg, Pennsylvania with Steve and his family. Nothing special about that you may say and you may be right.

However, Steve's son Tyler who is 13 recently took a nasty fall from his wheel chair which resulted in a nasty break to his leg. Result, Tyler is shipped off to Hersey Medical centre in Pennsylvania for operations which included having rods inserted into his leg to help his recovery (makes your loose screw look tame by comparison Ms Viking :cheeky1:). Not very pleasant, so I have been sticking around and keeping Tyler company whilst he recovers from his little spill.

Tyler is a great guy and has shown himself to be a brave young man in dealing with what is quite a severe injury. :clapper::clapper:

Please join me in wishing Tyler a speedy recovery and all the best for the future.

Here's a photo of me, Tyler and another guy we met along the way.

Oh Tyler, how I feel for you, I do hope Hobo has helped you by keeping you amused and that the leg soon gets better!!  Not sure about the other bloke Hobo is keeping company with - he's got some really big gnashers!!:cheeky1:

How about posting one of them maps with all the little flags on to signify and show us all where you have been to date :D

My dear Lady Viking, if you read back through this post, you will find that one of the members very kindly produced a map of the USA with the states I have visited coloured in. He has also agreed to update this when required.

Im tired telling members to read threads properly Hobo, and they just wont listen :shakehead:  :shakehead:  :shakehead:  so it's great that you remind them also  :cheeky1:

:leprechaun: :18red: :leprechaun:

A little more empathy for folk that still have to work and don't have as much time as they might like to go back reading through miles of posts when their memories elude them wouldn't go a miss you know Redwing:whinger:

Hey :baffled: you better tell Hobo that   cause I was only agreeing with him :cheeky1:

Hey Zoe  :baffled:  I have never been Rude to any person in my life time :bowing:

That word is strictly Out Of Bounds in My House :whip:

I was simply agreeing with our Forum Mascot in the words he said :bowing:

Thanks for all of your support and kind words. Tyler is feeling much better and will return to school on Thursday, He loves school and it will surely boost his morale to be back with his friends. After a week of being in a codeine induced haze he is finally back to his old self. (except for the bum leg of coarse.)

Hi Wannabe, yes, I am still here.

I am still with Bigeesteve and his family, but spring is coming and I am starting to get itchy paws.

It is nice to meet so many good people and every place I have been, I have been made at home. But, if I stay, I won't get to meet the rest of you here.

So, if you want me to come and visit, PM Bigeesteve and arrange a meet or some other means of getting me mobile.

I want to meet as many American members as possible before I join up with MC Pete in July to go to the Welsh Meet n Greet.:cool:

Hobo showed up today!  My plan is to show Hobo around this weekend then meet with White Winger next weekend for lunch in Barstow, Ca. and let Winger take him from there. If there are any other riders in the Vegas area that would like to join in on the ride just PM me and we'll set up a meeting place!

HOBO DOES VEGAS!

Whitewinger- Glad to hear that Hobo is on the move again.

Barstow- wow, does that bring back memories (of my decadent youth)? The Vegas to Barstow run on the Interstate (freeway, not model) was the first (and only) time I got my original GL1000 to 130+mph indicated (probably 120 true).  With a full Vetter package, my gal was "shakin' like a leaf" hahaha.

Of course, it's now signposted 90mph? I think....last time I was there, in my little 2WD TOYota Pickemup, I thought I was doing quite well, to not get run down, in the "slow" lane, which WAS actually moving at 90mph! :cheeky1:

Make sure HOBO has a porridge pot, plus a harness, plus VELCRO??? :dude:  It wouldn't do, to lose the club Mascot, in the middle of the desert!

Miles- I believe there may be a schedule conflict for this year.  Hobo's owner/keeper, Geordiemuppet, has made us all promise he will be at the Welsh meet n greet, and meet and greet, and meet and more greet (like 100+ folks are coming?) :cooldevil:

Perhaps a before or after visit could be negotiated?  Anyway, good job, to all of you- it's fun to see our Bear out exploring again....

Thanks Pete.

The Mojave Desert has been my playground since my youth. I was Born in Las Vegas NV, and moved to California in the late 1980's. So we travel back and forth often.

Me and my girls will show Hobo a good time and will have plenty of pictures to show everyone where he visits in the Sunshine State.

Looking forward to it.:waving:
