Oooops yeah, I was very remiss there J. Mind you, you have to be in a league of your own to make those posts... and those that hold those titles are most definately in Leagues of their own. ( or should that be, worlds of their own!!! )

Typical ..I do all the work and he gets all the credit

Hi John, glad to see that you're making great progress and on the road to recovery, no pun intended. You seem to be having fun with that laptop and the bang to your head didn't harm your posting ability any. Watch out exavid!
I finally got your URL to work, it was just a matter of bringing this new laptop current with the proper software. I almost wished I hadn't watched the video, it was so sad seeing your Wing laying there. Anyway, for those that might have missed the link, here it is:http://tinyurl.com/ytlcg4
You have a great family watching after you, my compliments to them all.

John - I just found this thread and have been sitting here dazed after watching the videos. I dare say, that in your case, death snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The good Lord decided it wasn't time for you to come home. You are in our prayers for a speedy recovery and look forward to meeting you at the "gathering" in Sept. The Lord has given you another chance, so live it to the fullest.

Bill
Hey all!!!
I am playing with new toys. This is like Christmas in July for the under priviledged children's societies.
Greg (Josie's husband) and I went to a Super Walmart last night. This was at least an hour though after we arrived safely at their home and ranch "Red Rose Ranch". It is a nice spread, but has a problem associated with all of the north today. The ground is white, and my feet want to slip, slip, and the rules of my new found freedom are written in ink and signed by my Case Manager doctor, Dr. David Porter. I made promises to all of my staff that I would be a "good boy" if they let me out of that hell hole of a prison call the "The Hospital".
At Walmart, I found "new toys"!!!!!!!! an usb keyboard mouse that has a 802.11g mouse attached to it. Freedom from the keyboard of the laptop. Weeee!!!
Now it is off to the kybd races and see if the mouse can be made to work exactly as advertised. Something amiss here, the kybd works, the mouse do not. If I reboot, and initialize the mouse first, the mouse works, but the keyboard will not. NASA, can you speel trouble here in "River City?"
Okay, it is off to the realms of Discovery to get this issue resolved. More reports later.
Today's report. I am standing on two feet, almost as healthy as a horse and just as hungry......
Bill from Bessember , Alambama. So sorry our cell site connections were being lost. We were on Hwy 89 north out of Page, AZ and the canyon walls were over a 1,000 feet high on both sides. I looked in vain for a cell site tower. Nothing down here that could be seen. So, I laid down, took a nap and a few hours later, the phone rings again and it is Bill once again. We have fun throwing works back and forth. For a longer time period this time. Wowzer, it was good.
Well, it is 0100 here on 23 Jan 2008. My head is beginning to hurt again, a headache type hurt. Doc says it will be a few months before that symptom goes away.
Off to beddie bye land, more later gals 'n guys. Have fun.
John

A phone call from the elusive Redwing must have been a treat John. With the wexman, wingnut and Redwing having called you, you must be good at understanding the Irish accent.

The Irish accent is really easy Go Wing, you just watch their faces, and depending what faces they are pulling whilst talking, you just answerr yes or no at appropriate pauses!!! This would account for the fact that us English were always late for Wexman's organised ride outs, we had no idea what he was talking about at the briefings!!!

That's funny Silverfox. Although I have to admit, when I'm watching a British movie I sometimes turn on the closed captions to understand everything.

AND YES, I FEEL HONORED to have such a vast array of high class talent and support on my side of this story.
* You know who you are:
Yes, you, that low life vermin who left me lying on the bloody pavement and hurting in the streets. The one who changed the life of myself and a lot of other people forever....
The Arizona Highway Patrol officer who found me, and started the wheels in motion to save my life. He knows who you are. You were laughing as you did that "Nerf job" that caused a chain reaction of broken vehicles and people's lives.
Witnesses saw you, and my "Long Arm of the Law" savior promised me last night to make you pay. Yes, he called me on my cellphone last night just as I was going to bed. He took time to help my screaming brain start the process of picking up the pieces and trying to "make a chronology" of the factoids of this terrible event.
I have no faces, nor did the witnesses get your tag number, but this one special LEO knows who you are. He can smell you, he can taste you, he is a special dedicated warrior on the vengeance trail. You cannot hide forever, my savior will find you no matter now deep a hole you try to crawl into.
You vile scum of the earth, may you die a long and suffering end to your miserable scummy life form.
My LEO knows you, your freedom is short lived.

I did not intend to have the previous post turn into a self serving eulogy. It was light hearted when it started, but events this morning trying to do the "normal things" changed the scope of that post.
Event, pick up a table spoon, stir your cereal bowl and try not to spill milk on the table.
Event, Digest yesterday, realize that "Today is the Beginning of the Rest of My Life". How I go forth effects me and others.
The Rest of My Life is now full of promise as I go forward and meet each new challenge and create new positive stepping stones.
Today is step one.
Tomorrow is savoring the feel of positive challenges met and surpassed.
Yes, I now go forward and create a new positive point in the center of my circle of friends.

Rave, it is never "too late". It is these messages and PMs and telco calls that are giving me the energy to get on the Recovery Trail.
Thank you very much. Here is a picture that shows what happened when my head struck the median wall. The helmet was destroyed, but my head survived even though I received a concussion. I am healing now.
