John called me this afternoon and we talked for quite awhile.  He wanted me to let  you all know that he has appreciated all the calls & prayers, and that he hopes to be out and  have a laptop available within a few days so he can get back online.  He tried to get his phone on to the web but was unsuccessful.  He said the work they are going to do on his head is to debreed the wound, so there might be some infection going on, so remember that in your prayers.

John

I'll be praying for ya here in Wisconsin John. Damned glad yer still with us.

Somene's insurance is gonna be buying you a brand new Wing, a new helmet, and doling out a hefty chunk of pain and suffereing compensation. Get a good lawyer and don't let them low ball you bro.

Good catch - I was so taken back by this news, I didn't even notice the date on the news story! To be sure, good wishes and prayers still apply, but with that 6 day window in there, a little more thankfulness can creep in.

Two people with serious injuries? John had a passenger? The driver of the car?

Yes, it happened on the 10th.

As for the other injured person, he did not have a passenger, so I'm not sure who the other hurt person was.  The news video said "the driver was seriously injured", but didn't indicate which driver.  She was talking about the truck ending up on the median at the time, so maybe she was referring to the truck driver, but that's just a guess.

John

John, you will be in Nancy and my prayers. Seems that you had someone with you already so I think from here on it will be a piece of cake.

It will be good to see you start posting again so we know for sure that you are on the road to recovery.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery John.
That's a helluva way to go about getting a new bike and helmet.Sounds like you will have a bit of time on your hands while recovering to find that new Wing.Good Luck.
