Actually, appart from a slight change to the last sentence that is almost exactly how the conversation went!!!
Any body been given any clues as to the length of stay that John is expecting?

Just talked to John a few minutes ago, sounds like the worst damage was a concussion. He said he's going to need 4-6 weeks to get his life back together. He'll be leaving the hospital in a couple days.

Great to be back.
Folks, my boss just brought me this laptop and a get well quick card. the card is filled with over a hundred bucks of store cards
doc says I am off work until March at the earliest with even that being a tentative date.
My knock on the head means I will now be wearing a permanent head protection for the rest of my life. 
doc says another blow to that area will put out my lights permently
m/c's are out for now, Trikes in the future with careful attention to details and protection.
no details on accident from me, I don't know more than what the web sites from news areas are saysing, I don't remember anything about the accident anyway. My first memory is yesterday morning and that's a lot of days lost to a black world...

Good to see you on the forum again, welcome back.
A trike won't be a bad thing. I had to switch to a sidecar rig this past year. You can still enjoy riding in the open air.

Good to see you back with us John, and we look forward to hearing from you through your recovery and onwards from there on whaeverr form of bike you have to have. If it needs to be a trike so be it.
No work 'til march at least means you can spend some time on here keeping the rabble in check!!!
