Heck, when she gets through with you I'll bet you can prance with the Lipizzaners.

Talk about out of touch!! John called me, I knew nothing of this. My Da listened to the story and tells me, "I saw it on TV, didn't know you knew the rider".
John sounds good and I am amazed at how few injuries he actually has. Not dismissing the seriousness, the Lord blessed him and us. Next weekend I hope to drop over and see him.
You know each of us is always so close to the edge... I wonder if that is part of the bond?

I just got back from Alaska yesterday afternoon and didn't see this until this morning! I'm glad you are OK John and out of the hospital!!
Now I'm really upset that my son didn't get me when you called this morning. He wasn't awake yet when you asked if he was Bob, so he said no and started to get me. Then you asked for AZWinger but he didn't know that is my forum name and thought you had called the wrong number! I called you back right after that and left a message and I'll try again.................................! If I can't get ahold of you, feel free to call me anytime! You DO have the correct number.
Think you will be ready for a Grand Canyon run in April? Harold and I are thinking of making a run and I will be posting a message in the EVENT forum.

| I mentioned it to my wife. She had the appropriate reaction, of feeling for John and his family, but not any undue extensions to anyone else. Of course, we all know, that just swinging a leg over a bike, we accept a certain amount of responsibility for what happens... At least thats how I feel.

Having a thread started by the Wingnut is usually indication enough that the topic is important. But I somehow overlooked it and it is now appearing that many members did the same.
I wonder if it may be possible to insert some sort of flashing RED FLAG at the top that members could click on that would take us to the thread of interest. Controllable only by Wingnut and those he deputizes.

You will need a particularly big red flag Hawker... it was Wexman that started the thread, not Wingnut!!!
Sorry mate I couldn't resist

Well, Foxy, don't you think Wexman qualifies as top "Deputy Dawg" of Steve?
I like the idea, and I think they should both be "deputized" to put circles, arrows, and flashing red symbols to anything they think deserving. Good idea!

Glad your feeling better, and sorry to hear about the accident. Last summer we had a guy get into a fight with an 18/wheeler in Salina Canyon. The biker lost, they had to extricate his head from the helmet.
Your going to be just over the mountain from me. When it turns a little warmer, could be tempting to take a ride over to you (ummm assuming the mechanic gets my wing back together in running order.) have a guy here who I talked into getting a 83 1100.

I really don't think the Axe's wig is all that big, probably about a size 7 3/8"
Now if he had an Afro, that would be a big wig.

I've been sick off and on for a few days and haven't paid much attention to the computer. Very sorry to hear of your accident, but VERY GLAD to hear you're basically OK. Hope you'll be feeling better soon and best wishes for good luck in the future. Ride Safe, Brother.

Dear Lads & Laddies...............
As I type this, it is 00:40 in the early hours of black majic. I woke up with sore aching muscles and my rear buns are screaming "waves of pain". The only way I have been able to make either of those ease off is to get out of that bed and start walking. I made two trips to the toilet and exercised my up/down techique which forced more muscle action into the legs and knees. The bathroom of a hotel Mariott is exceptionally friendly for my style of using it lately. It has a HUGE hand grab bar on the left side, and the sink counter is very robust and has a narrow edge surface between the edge and where the top overhangs the sink bowls. In other words, it was made to order for the special physical therapy I needed tonight.
Now that the pain has subsided, my back is getter warm again (put on my Fire Dept bomber jacket) I am 'awake and needed www' sustenance.
So, I am now impugning up on you unlucky devils more of my style of weird spellings, odd twists of humor and just plain keyboard tickles.
Again, Penske 1, Goldwing 0.
However, my internal "MAD Mental
State just keeps 'improving' if that is an acceptable way of stating I am going to be the worst thing to ever happen to Penske Trucking. They took my work life from me and are trying to steal my pension. I have asked my special supporters for advise in the unique field of 'personal injury law'. The ball has started to roll down the football field and I am going to pick it up and no way in hell am I going to be tackled before I reach the goal line.
Today was a great day in many ways. My family was all together for a family portrait at my mother's house. Mom is 89 and a residence of Fountain Home Foster Care, 8129 E. Fountain St., Mesa, AZ; 85207. He personal room teleco number which I arranged for months ago is:
480 986 2235
I am sure that a few calls from just most anybody would tickle her fancy. Just remember though that if you do call, be sure to give a preamble to who you are, your relationship to me, and so forth. She lives in a smallish room now and at the tender mercies age of 89 does not see much of the world anymore.
Enough on this............ I am now off to ramble through the rest of the forum and see if I can poke some good natured fun else where on here.

Heya John,
It sure is nice to see you posting. Talking about your mother has brought my own mom to mind. She's dead now, lost her back in May. Treasure each day with her an make sure you say all those things you've been putting off. My mother and I didn't have the best of relationships. The last time I saw her even halfway cognizant I wanted to tell her I loved her. However all the years of refusing to say it were hard to let go of. I thought " I'll tell her next time I see her". The next time I saw her she was comatose. The next time I saw her I held her while she died. My biggest regret in life is wasting that last chance to tell her I loved her.
Your accident is another reminder of how sudden, death always seems to be. I'm damn glad you're still around. Tell someone you love how you feel you may not get another chance to.

Broke, that is exceptionally good advice and I plan on continuing to call my mom on the phone on a near daily basis. I can tell by her voice how much it helps her.
She was oh so ever thrilled when I, my sis Josie and my son PJ walked into her room today. The smile was a hundred miles wide. made my heart feel good.
welll, my energy is gone. it is now 0207 hours
here and we are leaving the hotel here at 0600 hours to start the trip to Cleveland, Utah and my sister's horse ranch digs and her home of course.
Don't know when I will next have www access, most likely Tuesday from the Ranch.................
Night all, I am getting sleepy enough to try and get more rest....
