| hi all,my name is rudy,from new hampshire usa.im also a new rider,i bought a 1983 1100 aspencade last year,got up and running,after not having been on a bike for 25 yrs,then put it away for a very long cold winter up here,and am out and about as much as possible,on the back farm roads and around the lakes.its a real lot of fun,as you must know.the bike was bought from a guy in my area,who strictly services honda goldwings,and nothing else.any year,mechanical,body work,bells and whistles,you name it.but as you can imagine,hes pretty busy all the time.i was wondering,im trying to take care of the bike as best i can,as it only has 29k on it,aside from scheduled maintenance,is there a day to day or maybe a weekly list of things to do or look for,or noises or vibrations to recognize that might head off trouble and avoid ones bike being in a shop for a critical warm month one could be riding.also,instead of telling the guy to just go over the ting every year and do what he thinks is best,although im sure id enjoy contributing to his retirement plan,id like to have an idea of what hes talking about.i love my goldwing i feel safe,and visible on it and its something else.let me know what you think,thanks,dave

rudy61 from new hampshire,welcome from Waco Tx. Sounds like you want to read the tips and feq asked forum.regular oil changes, clean fuel, check air pressure in tires before rides. It pretty well will warn you about anything going wrong. Get you a good manual, it outlines the service checks. If you don't have one, there is a free down load available from the FAQ forum. Keno

Rudy61;
Yes, there is one super important thing you can do daily...check your tires air pressure. It's a BIG pain to do before each ride, & they'll seem to always be okay....but one day, a tire will be 10-20 lbs low....and you will live to tell about it....LIKE I AM NOW.
