Since the weather has gotten nice again I have managed to ride almost daily.  Albeit short rides, but rides none the less.  Heading home each evening I begin anticipating the moment when the Wing fires and I can feel that special feeling only you guys know.  I got home yesterday about 6:30 and couldn't go for a long ride so I rode over to an empty parking lot and started doing tight circles and figure eights.  For a 700 + pound bike it felt so nimble beneath me as it responded to the steering and throttle inputs.  I so enjoyed the brief time that I was able to connect with this fine old machine.  As I left the lot and leaned toward home the sweet purr from the engine, the sun on my face made me realize how very blessed I am!

This morning I dropped two layers. Yesterday I was a bit warm on the way in to work wearing the same gear I've been riding in with for the last few months. So this morning I dropped the jacket and vest in the garage and just worn my shirt and over shirt and I felt pretty good most of the trip. A couple of cool spots while going by the lake was it. We're looking at 100 this thursday to friday! Yuck, too soon for me I'd rather have had a bit more of the cool times

I hope to see everyone in Calhoun this fall!  It will be hot but meeting everyone will be worth it!
