Bots troll for any information that can be sold or used for ID theft. You would also see an increase of spam in your email and an increase of telemarketer calls on your phone. Your phone number could also be used to spoof caller id.
Yes we have a hidden forum that only the moderators can see, so setting up another one would be easy. The only thing is that anyone registering would be able to see it, unless we restrict it to say active members etc. That might defeat the purpose though, not allowing new members to see it.
Of course the whole forum can be closed to non-members, so they can't see past the main page. But I'd prefer not to do that as it excludes people from seeing the other useful stuff.

I think making it viewable for all REGISTERED users is the way to go. That way new members will see it and may be useful to them before they are familiar with the "nuances" of the site.
The PGR has a similar book, called the Red, White and Blue Book, that is available for downloading on their site. It is in PDF format and you need a password (which is given in a post) to open it. Maybe that will help to control the bots that register from pulling it out and a human actually has to read the post to get the password.
Just my .02 (worth about .005 in today's exchange rate )

If you want to pm me your (real) name address phone number(note cell or home), whats available. I can get a list going and make it available to people who are traveling...
It might be a good idea to give the list to a few others as well, since I am not on here 24/7... If we give it to some that are in differant parts of the world, chances are somebody will be available at any given time with the names/numbers
since i use my real name here already i'll pm ya the rest
