I don't think we need an Irish symbol or flag on the pin. Much as I like waving the flag, the forum is an international one and the pin should reflect this. Patch's forum patches are a good example of a design that appeals to most people.

Someone mentioned above that we need to know the pin size before starting any graphics. That's a very valid point and I'll ask for opinions about this over the weekend in Wales.

Gee, I wonder who did the base design???

I think we need to keep in mind that the original offer was to provide pins/badges for free. I agree with all that feel we should donate something for the pins, and let Steve decide how to use the funds. All this to say that I think there should be one design for all - like GWEddie's design without the "title". To add all the "extras" will increase production costs and we could very easily abuse a very generous offer.

Put me down for a pin. I'm proud of this forum and tell everyone I can about it - be proud to wear a pin advertising it.

If there was any way to make them look something like the patches it would be nice. Yellow of course.

A shamrock or harp wouldn't be a bad shape either, this Goldwing forum is unique in it's country of origin which makes it stand out from all others.

I think a pin or badge for this group would be great.  I have never even worn a vest the last 15 years, mainly because I like high tech protective gear, and never have considered a vest to be anything but decorative.  Some of those folks in my club look like walking Christmas trees and jingle when they walk, and have to put counter weights in one of the saddle bags to stop leaning:cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:.

Something about the people on this site.......really do not know what it is.....but glad it is there....it is a mix of all walks of life.....of many experiences, and even though there are hundreds of opinions about things.....everyone does get along ......and everyone seems to enjoy life

So yes....I think a pin would be great......and I would actually wear it.    Kit

The good thing about badges is they are easy to put on, i have a lot of patches but as me and the wife cannot sew to save our life, they spend all thier time in the drawer. Must get them sorted one day
