Ya know, I've only met one Canada-ian in my life.
And that rascal wouldn't stay in town long enough to let me take him to dinner. I've been told though, that he knows how to let his feeling be known.
Now that I think of it, I believe his name is ccsailor
Hang in there ole son, and now tell us what you "really think" about your brothers and sisters.

Thanks exavid. It's fixed now. It took a while to figure out. It was missing the l at the end of html and no matter what I did, it wouldn't save it. Turns out you can only have 255 letters in your signature and the l was my 256th so it cut it off.
so did you make room by cutting out the R in Drod?
Are you now Dod?

To ccsailor, I understand your huge disapointment in the lack of response with this regristry, & by the lack off support from Canadians. However, There might be some of us who chose to not sign up for valid reasons. Speaking for myself only, My work day can range from 10 hours to weeks away from home with no warning. My thoughts were that I would be an un reliable name on the list for that reason alone. I always stop for break downs when I can regardless of what the vehicle is & I just donated 3 pick up loads of furnature to a young family that lost everything in a fire.
So be discusted with me all you want! I do what I can do when ever I get the chance.
& wingnumberone, I like my American friends, Served along side them in some world conflicts & saved one soldiers life in 1983 when he swallowed a hornet that was in his coke can which made his throat swell shut. I cut his throat and stuffed in a bic pen so he could breath. So if your going to trash Canadians, Do it somewhere else.
I would add my name to Diggers list without any problems, I just might not be there for someone in need.
Wayne.

Getting a little confusing here.
Are you telling me that there are 2 lists going around?
I signed up on on a website where I saw some the regulars from SC.
Is there another one too?

| I heard about the list but forgot about it after never noticing the sticky for it. If the sticky would flash on and off or be a different color or something, more people would notice it.

Being on the Helper list is totally voluntary, remember. I signed up as soon as possible but not everyone has a cooperating schedule or equipment to help. I am lucky to have a wife that thinks I need every tool that I ask for.
Everyone should remember one thing-If someone is in trouble while away from home, just having a local phone contact can make a big difference. You may not have a trailer, but I bet most of you know someone that would loan you one for a couple of hours.
Maybe you have some lawn space that someone could camp on, maybe not.
I hope that you all help out any stranded cyclist, (I refuse to say biker due to the negative steriotypes.) I have never passed up a cycle and rider that was parked along the road in need of help.
Years ago, I was a member of Rider Magazines rescue team and helped out several riders. You would be surprised how it makes you feel to help someone salvage their vacation.

PM DigbODell with your contact information and locations to get on the paper list, let him know you want the latest updated copy emailed to you. Once you get it, print it out and keep it in a waterproof zip lock baggy. Contacts are listed by state.
I signed up for both list as soon as they were available. The site that Rudy has allows you to post more information as to the type of help you can give. I even listed my cell phone number on it and I don't give that out to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that comes along but it's the quickest way to get a hold of me in case I'm out on a service call. I don't do many anymore as I'm on disability so I have a lot of free time and can assist anyone within a 2 hr window.

I just checked the list: http://glhelpers.com/members and I'm in there for my area.
If I can't help personally for some reason, I can sure make certain someone in need gets the best help available since i know the area, wreckers, shops, lodging, etc., and have a PC & landline.
Otherwise, my F-150 & tools are ready.

Remember that you can print your own list from the web version as well.

| Thanks for the reminder. I had to remove my phone number and facilities temporarily from the online list. I'm moving South to Oregon in the very near future so will repost my information once I get settled down there.

I'm now on the list. Chalk another one up for MN!!!
As far as the Canadians are concerned, I just take the lack of names to mean you can stop anywhere and they will help. They seem like a very nice bunch from my experience.
