You bet I signed up. After the last fiasco of plowing into a deer 4 hrs from home, having the tow crooks charge me $180 for a 5 mile tow, then $25 dollars a day storage till I could get a trailer to make a second trip back to get my bike.  I had to pay my nephew to take a day off of work to help me get it.  I built a tilt bed retrieval trailer with a winch especially for motorcycles that is sitting here ready to go at all times.  If unfortunately somebody has to retrieve me and the bike there is only going to be one trip.  If somebody broke down around here I could save them a lot of aggravation.  I am also a member of goldwing riders with there insurance now.

So I guess I'm going to be #3 Canuck to sign up then.

I just saw this and the other thread for the first time and have signed up not only because I can offer to help as much as humanly possible but because of great shame attached to this rather scathing thread from our dear friend CC...

Yes this is now 3 pages in but  have to add something here...:cooldevil:

Talk about a knock out punch!!
Canadians on the left,:fighting: CCSailor on the right.

Glad to see that humiliation and shaming are alive and well not only on the GWRRA boards but here too!:clapper: This was one of the reasons why I liked it over this side so much because I didn't have to feel coerced into doing something I didn't want to..

There will be times that I can't help but I will do my best to give what I can when I can as well as when I feel like it!

But in the mean time, if anyone has a biking problem while out and about in the Niagara Falls , Ontario area, I'm just a phone call away.:byebye:Once I get approved of course! Do I have to pass a test?:?

And Yes everyone, I am having a spot of fun here. Please apply this with the tongue n' cheek approach..

I think it I a great idea if you can help out. :clapper:

BTW!!! This is my 500th post so I thought I would make it a real good one!!!!:toast:

you should not feel coerced on 'this side' either, I have not signed up and doubt I will, its your choice, do as you see fit.

That is true.  You should only do it if you want to help or benefit from it.

No one should be coercing anyone even if they are supposed to be setting the example by being an example as a moderator.   It is your choice entirely.  :dude:

I could understand people not signing up because of potential problems with unknown people. I have always held the belief that goldwing owners where generally less likely to be of the trouble maker type than like say harley owners. You know the harley owners go to the bar, and goldwingers go to the dairy queen.

Whoooaa there Cowboy!!

I gott's me some token HD friends and can say that almost all are just as nice and helpful if not more helpful then most others riding them other brands

And in reality, they have to be!

With riding a bike that breaks down the most  and loses the most parts, they got to ask for help the most often!!!:cooldevil::cooldevil::cooldevil:

Only reason that I didn't join up is my schedule doesn't make me the most reliable person to be available/in town when someone might be in urgent need of assistance.  But of course I do stop when I see a fellow biker on the side of the road.
Now if I was in Canada, I would have joined up A.:D
