Well, I dorked out good today. I had my handlebars off, and when I reassembled the clamps I inadvertantly got the cable between the clamp ans bars, and when I tightened them down, I crushed the cable BAD! I hate myself right now! jimsjinx

| I think we have all done things of this nature, look at the bright side. You need a cable,not a new leg from a wreck or anything major. I know it's easy to get frustrated with these things. Back in my younger days 21 or so,I'd flip out when stuff as to what you spoke about would happen. You have a sweet looking bike btw.

| You guys are the best. I feel better, hell I coulda done alot worse! What ticked me off was that I had all the warning signs that something was not right. Shoulda looked harder down there in all that black plastic.Oh well.Thanks guys.Got one coming, only a $15.00 lesson. Jim

can you put it back in and squish it back the other way. had to do it Jim. Ive done worse LOL. JB

I now have a good pair of bi-focals just because of things like that!! Thing is sometimes I cannot find them......    Kit

| Funny you mention recrushing it back to shape! It did cross my mind! Just too buggered up, really.Besides, I don't want to be worse a hack than I already am!! I can build you a house, or a fine dining room table, but I am a poor mechanic!! And Kit, how did you know! I was too lazy to put on my bi focals, and that was the real cause.Yea, that's it!!LOL Jim
