| I'm getting between 40-45 per gallon, most riding 30-55mph in top gear in the country.

Not a big deal. This is one of those discussions that has been beat to death. I would however like to see the forum sorted a bit better. Example, you sre obviously looking for mpg for a 1500. You will most likely here for all kinds of rides. It would be nice to just sort out the 1500, or the 1200, or the 1100...you get the idea.
35-42, depending on my mood.

Here are the averages of the Goldwings I've owned. These numbers are the overall averages for the entire time I owned them:
85 1200 Limited: 42.95 mpg
79 1000: 31.85
02 1800: 40.28
88 1500: 35.79

The '86 Aspy gets 42 around town and 42 on the highway - all weather, any type of fuel. Can't say I understand why.
I quit checking it - it gets boring.

I've got as low as 32 mpg while 2up with a headwind & load....and as high as 52 solo & light with no wind.
Driving style, stops, & endless variables....prob about 44 avg solo, for me.

| i have a 1982 GoldWing 1100 cc and now i also own a 2003 V T X 1800. I try to keep an accurate gas mileage on each, so far the 1100 Goldwing is much better than the 1800 V T X. This is kind of bad, i was hoping for both bikes to be in the same range...the wing is in the 42 to 44 mpg most of the time and speed don't seem to do much to change that... the V T X 1800 seems stuck on 32 miles per gallon.... Hi mikef;
I have read a lot of forums where they regiment the forums down to just one model. They are not friendly, and the talk does not have the family feeling that this one does.
MPG: My 1200 always seemed to get around 44 or more.
My 1500 never did better than 34 and usually only 33.

| My worst was in the high 20's mpg coming home across Kansas 2 up, loaded, running 75-80mph against a strong very hot headwind. My best has been 44mpg with an average of around 40 mpg just tooling around sightseeing.

| Just bought an '89 Wing two weeks ago, every time I check it I get 37 or 38 mpg. Not bad, but I was hoping for over 40. This is 2up, no real load otherwise.

| What kinda riding do you do flashya2? The wife and i are BIG people and i get 40+, i will say this, when we are riding and i run 65mph+ i get way less mpg. When we are out riding and keep it under 55mph is when i get killer mpg.

| Most of my riding has been on trips which couldn't be leisurely...higher speeds, and as I've been reading on here, I admit I'm getting about what I deserve. Mine wasn't meant as a complaint though....just put a new engine in my '98 Expedition, it's getting 10.8 mpg....so I'm tripling my mpg no matter how you look at it! Expedition has found itself parked most of the time since the bike arrived....

On my old 1100, I got such good gas mileage, that if I went anywhere over 50 miles, I'd have to leave with less than 1/2 tank of gas. If I had more than that, it would overflow before I got to where I was going.........
