Picked it up this afternoon, put a battery in it and it almost started :D
Got to pull the fuel tank, fresh gas, filter...got some rust in it.
Took some pics as I got it, gonna take some cleaning and parts hunting.

A little soap and water, some lemon pledge and don't go looking for problems that you don't know if they exist....Change them timing belts before you crank it !!!!!! then do the tank, etc, then try to crank it......There's plenty of free advise here ..all you have to do is ask.....Other than that now you can redo your signature line and you got a great deal, even if you have to spend as one member said $1200.00 you are still ahead of the game....Good luck with it.......

That was true when the dealers did them, but you might have a very difficult time finding a dealer that will work on an 86.  If you do, it will likely cost $1200-$1500, and you will have to buy the stator from them as well.

Found a dealer that would do it, 880.00!!! Too steep for me, I'll be checking the stator soon and deciding which way to go
