I never once stated that the bad behavior stopped long ago. I said I thought it had. In fact, read my original post again that I was mortified to learn of another caustic email last week which compelled me to go public.

We are going to be able to help with projects because we do not have a repair shop and no technician on staff. You really can't expect a mechanic to make a diagnosis over the internet.
Our aftermarket parts come from makers with the best engineering talent, backed up with ISO9001/2 and QS certification ratings as well as the TUV certification.
When we come across issues, we post disclaimers in our product description that should serve as a warning that you better do your homework and know what you're getting yourself into - especially if you are not the original owner.
This is why this forum is so important. Those of you who are hands on have a place to share their experiences.

Wolfman wrote: Hi again Diane,
I do have a question for you.
Goldwing mechanics are getting fewer and farther between, and many people join forums like this because they are looking for sources of help to keep their old machines running.
I for one am looking for inexpensive parts, but I am also willing to pay more when it comes to being able to get good advice or someone that I know is on my side when it comes to keeping an old bike running.
There are places out there that are like Wal-mart, low cost, but no help is available. And that's ok, there is a place in the market for them, and they do an incredible amount of business.
On the other hand, there are those that prefer, or need more than that. It's more expensive to run a business that way and costs/prices would naturally reflect that.
Part of the reputation that goes along with Saber Cycle would seem to put you in the Wal-mart category. And that's ok, if that's where you want to be. Low cost merchandise, but be sure to come knowing what you want.
So my question is: Is that where you see yourself/your business? Or do you have people on staff that are able to "roll up their sleeves" and help people figure out their projects.
To me personally, either answer is ok, as long as we know.

"Disclaimers"
"Warnings"
"You better do your homework and know what you're getting yourself into"
I feel another "Bite Me" coming
How can a (I think it's a BS degree) communications person be so lame at low level communicating?
Diane, I'm sure there is a business modeling class at the junior collage you attended.
PS: hint business communicating does not include negative attitude

Diane, I think what he was asking was centered more around cross-referencing parts. "Will this fit this, or do I need to order something different?" type of questions.

This clearly demonstrates someone who hasn't got their finger on the pulse. What you are suggesting is that you knew a long while back that there were caustic emails going out to customers, "but thought it had stopped".Surely you would have monitored this from the moment it was flagged, or at the very least got a responsible member of staff to monitor and report to you, of any further indiscretions.
Somewhere along the line, things have gone severely wrong with your organisation and unfortunately, as with all businesses, the head person should be held accountable, it can't be shuffled down the line, as if it weren't your responsibility.
If you wish to win back the business of potential customers, you will need to reassure them with explanations of what you have put in place to change the situation, as yet I have seen nothing of a business plan to address this.
Remember please, you are the Boss, so only you have the power to make change and change is long overdue in this business venture of yours, or it will surely fall.
Nothing travels faster than bad news as I suspect you are finding out. Time for you to put your house in order me thinks.
Good luck.

Diane,
I am going to make a suggestion here that may be alien to you but I am going to make it anyways.
IF, as you proclaim, you are interested in setting right the wrongs that have been posted here and elsewhere how about some POSITIVE public relations.
In about a months time there is an event being held in the USA where there will be a good number of members from this forum in attendance, both home grown to the US and international.
How about you donating FOC some items to the raffle, I know some sceptical members here will put you down for it, but hey ho, good PR is going to have to start somewhere.
A lot of members have cut you a lot of slack here over the past week, this would be your chance to build on that slack.
If you care to PM me i will do my best to put you in touch with the correct people.
Hope this idea is not to alien to you and that you grasp the oppertunity to start building POSITIVE relationships as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading
David

Mike,
We have to stick to the fact that we are selling parts & accessories for STOCK Goldwings. Our descriptions state specifically what models a part will fit but we cannot anticipate what has been gerry-rigged. For example, we have customers who do not have matching carburetors.

I've already stated that it is not my intention to build up an eBay store because it is extremely labor intensive and costs twice as much to sell and that we decided at the onset not to accept Paypal. Accepting money orders makes it difficult to do business internationally but then our base has always been in the USA.
I am extremely sorry that you were called name for asking. FYI, we do have a few customers from Mexico.
