After Faye decided to blow on through, the rain finally stopped today, so after work I went and picked up my new ride. My plan was to ride her home, it is sacreligous to put a wing on a trailer...unless it has to go to the shop!!!  The ride went fine until I hit the highway, and then the fun began. The front end had a bad wobble to it, felt like I was in a rodeo:shock:......so back to the house to get the trailer.  The problem is, ny trailer is 7' and the bike needs a good 8'.  So the bike went in at an angel, and the guy who I bought it from's son was there and help me slide the back end around....got it on the trailer and got her home.....now the work and learning what all the switches do....and probably some re-wiring....I do know the CB works!!!!  So now I can get back to Bashful and Deputy Dawg when they are talking about me when we do our rides!!:cooldevil::cooldevil:

Ok, been out cleaning and messing around with the bike. Kinda got dissapointed when I tried to get the compressor to work.....couldn't get it to do anything:(, opened the lid on the faux tank..compressor disconnected, and no hoses!.  Started looking around more and found that it has Progressive shocks on rear:D,,,,save me some coins.....question now is, how to get the compressor off the top of the tank, and fill the hole with something that looks good:baffled:. Any suggestions??

Any suggestions?? You may be able to just fill your shocks manually. My hubby's bike is the same and we wondered if his compressor worked too. It does, but our mechanic said it has the manual fill nipples too. So you don't have to have a gaping hole in your false tank. Just fill manually if needed. You will have to search for some hoses maybe, but all is not lost!!!!

That's a good looking bike, I hope you don't have any major problems with it and it gives you many miles of enjoyment.

Be sure, when no one is around to sit down with her and explain that the trailer was a necessity, and that you promise not to do it again unless it's an emergency.

Goldwings will go into a severe state of depression if hauled around on a trailer, or let sitting for any length of time.:cheeky1:

That's why every one has so much trouble with Harleys.

That trailer still has a good use. You can put it behind the wing and haul your Harley buddies back home :)

I almost went and bought a cover to put on her for the trip.....so she wouldn't be embarrassed and all......we did take the back roads home though:cooldevil::cooldevil:

Thats so funny. :dude::dude: When I was bringing my Goldwing back home, we stopped at a gas station and a lady said to me, "that bike doesn't belong in the back of your truck, you should be riding it".   I said, I would be but it's not insured yet.

Had to trailer mine home as well. The tire were far to Dry rot, even for me to ride 30 miles in the rain with no Registration or insurance.

Now let the Games Begin

Best Wishes with your new Ride
