Got an 85 Aspencade which I drive into a 1 car garage.Since its an 85 obviously no reverse I have to do about 12 k turns to get it out of the garageThe drive way slopes towards the garage so just pushing it back is a real chore. Was thinking of welding some unistrut to some casters and making something I could drive onto and then spin it like some lazy susan but thought I would check with you guys for any innovative ideas. Thanks Last edited on Tue May 5th, 2009 08:01 pm by 1lefty123 |

That's what I do! I did spin it around once using the MC jack one rainy day when I was doing maintenance in the garage.

Here is what I've done with my '86 1200 SEI and I currently do with my 1500 when I need to turn it in a tight space like my garage. As long as the floor is fairly smooth it works well for me. I place the bike on the center stand, standing on the left side of the bike I hold onto the handle bar with one hand and the passenger hand grip with the other, gently rock the bike toward the back wheel so the weight of the bike is balanced on the center stand,I keep my foot on the center stand peg to keep it from folding up and then spin it around. Takes a couple of times to practice this but it works really well. Good luck.

Mere mortals here at work spin 2000-3000 lb. rolls of paper around using an aluminum disk under them.

Just a standard motorcycle jack will do well to twist that wing around. And very useful when you need to work on the bike.

Might not work if you have a CycleMax Power Park center stand since both wheels are on the floor.
