Just got back home from Reno.  Reno to Tampa, just under 3000 miles.  Stopped in Vegas for a couple days.  Headed through the desert right to Phoenix, then direct on Rt 10 to Florida.  Long trip.  I did an Iron Butt to get out there and it was fairly easy.  But getting back was a long ride--Rt 10 was very boring for that long.  Wing rode nice.
No problems.
Whole trip included run to Connecticut and the Dragon and was about 8000 miles.
Peace.

Holy crap! Good name for your post. Although, now that I think about it, maybe you should have named it; Really Really Long Ride... ;)

What was your total trip time?

Sounds like a great adventure. Congrats!

MPG was 38 when riding conservatively, like less than 65 mph. Think construction zones, etc. When speeds were 75 mph or higher, mpg dropped dramatically to around 30.

Which Iron Butts did you qualify for?  How many days on the road?  Did you have a specific reason to go to Reno, or just for the Iron Butt?

:action:  Regardless, that is some seriously respectful long distance endurance riding.  :action:
