A big pot of Mana to Don Evans.

I have those 16 inch light poles that you mount to your saddlebag rails and had the whole top lense plus the bulb disapper on a ride a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the replacement lense and bulbs from J C Whitney and got them. However, the lense didn't include the plastic chrome barrel coupler that you take off to replace the light bulb, just the red top lense is all I got and it was of a different design than the ones you get originally.
Well, Don gave me a hollar on Skype and happened to mention that he had one he took off his bike a few years ago and happened to find it in his shop within minutes. His was a 24 inch version you can't find but one place anymore. He only had the one so it was no big deal to him to offer to send me the top sections I needed that match mine perfectly and looked new to boot.

He offerd it to me for the cost of shipping only!! Now I can keep my lights on the bike!! I will fix it so it never comes off again until I need to change the bulb at some future time.

Now that's what I love about this forum, the way members are willing to help other members without making it complicated or expensive.

Alls well that ends well. Don came through just great!! The light top arrived today and in great shape. It appears to have been hung up at customs somewhere and I owe Don a big apology for thinking badly of him and a dinner out when ever he makes it down this way or somewhere close enough to meet up with him.

Thanks again Don!!

An equally big pot of manna to SB from SC, and my best bud Silverfox-

I hear that my Pan European is alive!  Master....it's ALIVE! :cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:

Sounds like Sean took it to Brighton at the coast today, no doubt chasing Foxy, who now possesses entirely too many horseys, riding solo, and unladen!  Can GL1800's DO that? :cooldevil:  Is it legal to ride one, solo? :dude:

Thanks, mates....have a terrific trip.  :waving:

I would need a truck to haul the mana for Motorcycle Pete and Silverfox&Helen.  These folks are responsible for me having the time of my life at the moment, riding that Pan European through the English countryside and along the southern coast.

Staying at Pete and Helen's is like staying in a posh resort on the company dime!:cheeky1:

...and M/C Pete, if the air fares stay reasonable, I'll come over here again to get your bike sorted for you for the riding season.  No charge, as always!:D

Seriously, I can't thank these folks enough.:bowing:

Earlier this month, I had my house packed-up and needed some help getting it all into storage.  I asked for a hand on the Events forum & got many replies from my fellow Goldwingers and friends from the KANWINGS / Wild Rhino thread.

Ended up with 16 members at my house, from 2 states, who made short work of my move.

Now, it is still April and I posted a request for help to get Patch's Bike [Chris, a KANWINGER & Mod on this Forum] fixed as things were going south for him at the time.  I only acted as the bookeeper, but was amazed at the response and generousity of our members.  We received enough to replace the rear brakes, rotor and all, with new parts, in 2-3 days.  I actually had to post that we had attained our objective and have the PayPal link & mailing address removed !!  Other members were out helping move the seized bike to store until it can be fixed.

Still, it is April, and one of our members loaned his new truck [indefinately] to a family who lost their vehicle in a flood a few days ago.

There is more, and the month isn't over.  These are some of the events, this month, from a little 'flat spot' in our worldwide group.

A very real family has been created through this site!! :)

I don't want to blow my own horn since really I'm getting annoyed but. In June a week before I left for MMAAC http://mmaac.org
my wife calls from her job the Mobil to ask if I'll come help a biker with motor cycle issues. I go over and get his bike running for him and leave. Shortly after she calls again, same guy same issue. I bring his bike to my garage and drive him home. His bike was fixed the next day, but here it is the end of July and I still have his bike taking room in my garage. I ain't charging the guy for the repairs (no parts were needed) but gees come get your bike!

Who was it and didn't he leave you with a phone number? Does your wife know who he is?

I would like to thank Marty, Micheal, and everybody else who helped me out when we were down in Llano for the 1st annual Texas MNG. Also, a thank you to all those who sent prayers to me last year when I had my relapse. They will be answered. I am going to the eye surgeon on July 28 2009 to have my right fixed.

I have read some great things on the thread and I would like to add one more. I know that this is not  as big as what has been written of here but, it is important too me. I have not been able to locate a repair manual for my 82 Aspencade. I  have looked everywhere for it and it is not available at this time in Vancouver. So when I mentioned this on the Chat line, AspectOne said that he had one that he could lend me. He sent it to me on his dime and all I have to do, is rebuild the bike and then send it back. That is a great thing to do even for a friend, not heard of much being done for a stranger. So I will rebuild the machine and " Get into the Wind" quicker, thanks to AspectOne's generosity. So Chris, thanks again for the use of the manual! And when I figure out how to do it, I will send you some "Mana".  Or if any one can show me I would appreciate it. Thanks Clayton   AkA  Low Level Flight

There have been many acts of kindness on this forum and from this forum to me and mine.. I have made posts about how this forum, its people and the frinds I have made here have helped me and saved my marriage.

I am deeply grateful to all involved here, I am greatful not only for the acts of kindness shown to me but by what you have done to others you all are showing ME what it means to be that friend someone else can depend on.

It is I am who is humbled by you folks... I am HONORED to call you my friends for it is a previlage to be counted as one by you.

and thats about all I have to say about that.
