Amazing how instant the relief can be after the initial "crunch" at the chiropractor! I have noises like broken granite in my neck, so I know how bad it can get. Glad yo found a Dr., John. jimsjinx

Mark showed me an office for a lady that is a Sports Rehabilitation Specialist and a certified Acupuncture therapist.

As soon as I saw both of the credentials on the door, I knew we had found the right place.

My faith was well justified, a very professional lady, understood that I am familiar with her vocation, and that I knew exactly what needed to be done to my neck.

She was very thorough, and performed perfectly.  I had instantaneous relief, with in 5 seconds, I knew it was done correctly.

The chiropractic profession is one that I wish more Medical Doctors would start to work with.  Combine both of their specialties and we will have a winning combination.

This already exists. They are titled D.O. or Osteopathic doctors. Many PCP's have this degree.  By the way SPOT is working great and is really cool. Be safe.

Keep up the good work John!!  You'll be in Texas before ya know it!

I know what you mean about Chiroprators, just spent the last 3 weeks getting straight again.  Feels soooo good!  But just had to cancel my appt this week thanks to bruised ribs and a bruised lung suffered this last Sat due to being ripped off the saddle while riding dirt bikes with my son.  Caught his bars in the lower right ribs... damn that hurts!!!!

Spring Break is upon us, so be careful riding the coastline!!  Lots of young and dumbs as well as DPS out there!

Later...

Hey John, my brother lives in Foley Al on county road 6.

He's a member of the Gulf Shores Fire Department.

If you need anything let me know and I'll give him a holler.

I get free room and board when I go down to visit plus the ocean is so close.

Went down a couple of years ago to help clean up his place after Ivan came through.

Really enjoying watching your story unfold.

well well, isn't the world a small place.  Here I am retired from a fire department, and stopping over in a smallish place, and one of our family has family there also?  wow!

Mark's mom is putting us up, so I can't disappoint her.  She has a fancy meal all planned already from what I hear.

It just kills me how much Gulf Shores has grown in the last 10 years or less.

It us to be a fairly small tourist place, now it has a water park and more.

My brother works part time at the water as an EMT too.

His in-laws have been in the area for years, fishermen and preachers.

Life has gotten faster down there since he got there.

Too many bugs (fire ants) and too hot for me.

Thanks,

I am really enjoying it, it has been a real breath of new life for me after more than 2 years off  of a bike.  I had just about decided I didn't need to get another one.

But, 15 seconds on the road again changed all of that :waving:

Well, did the 5 cent tour of the areas right around where Mark lives.

Scouted out a chiropractor and that went well.

Mark showed me all of the stuff that has been built in just the last two years.  Just totally amazing at how much infrastructure has been thrown up. I can't believe it.

when you see the slide show, all of the shopping center is brand new, less than a year since any of it opened.

This is the main page, if you want the slide show, click on it at the top right.

There are 234 images, so it might take a while for the slide show to start running. Depending on your bandwidth.    I took so many extra shots of everything because I wanted to catch the flavor of the area.  Not just an individual building here and there.  That is why so many of them over overlapping.

I thought about doing a video, but that just takes way too much file space.

I cropped all of them down to 640x320 to keep the bandwidth limits lower.

PixResizer is so neat for that job.

John,
If you're passing by Birmingham, AL. You NEED to stop at Barber Motorsports Museum (actually Leeds)just east of B'ham. It is the motorcycle heaven. Adm price $20. There's over 750 bikes on display. It's worth a couple days ofyour time!! Have a good trip. Your bike looks alot like my 99' great bike.

John a couple of things you need to be aware of...First I don't know if you are taking I-10 threw New Orleans or I- 12 around New Orleans...Either way is good but I-12 will keep you out of downtown traffic....At Baton Rouge where I-12 and I-10 merge is sometimes a mess depending o the time of the day.....Be extremely careful crossing over the Mississippi river bridge at Baton Rouge, as it is steel grates on the top......

Just before you get into Texas you will have to cross over the Sabine river bridge.....At the Sabine river bridge watch for some broken concrete on it stay to the left, there  are some bad potholes in the right lane.....After you get into Texas there is construction just out of Orange Texas to about Vidor Texas..Two lanes but no shoulders......Then you are clear until up get near Anahuca then there is some more road construction at the Trinity River...Once you get clear of these two major construction sites you will be clear and green to Beltway 8 North.....It will cost you .75 cents to get off at the toll booth.....Ride Safe brother...

Claude....

Not to worry Claude, dwsonar (Dave) is picking me up on the northwest side of New Orleans and taking me the backroads down to his place at Lockport. Will spend some time around there and then come into Houston on Friday.

Mark and I just made it into his mom's place here in Foley, AL. She is a very nice lady, reminds me of my mom and that's a good thing. :)

Pictures have to come later tonight, we are hungry and I hear there is good food down the street from here.
