Dang, John, quit being so wishy-washy!!! One minute you're flying down, the next you're both driving down and now you're back to flying! Hard to decide, huh? You're getting like the weather, wait a few minutes and it'll change again.

I expect to make Houston the first day out......... unless, there are too many DQs in between Tampa and Houston Ya just never know, what with all the Goldwingers coming out of the woods along the way. Might be hard to cover many miles in a given day Bikefix, Atlanta is tempting. was wanting to see Rudy on the way home, but I'm going to run down on the south coastline coming home. I have never been on the side end of our USA, and what a better way to see the coast than from a White Knight.

Wow, that is an intense trip, I am jealous. I am a huge fan of taking long trips. If you have a minute or 2 I would really like to see the route you are taking. If you could post it on my online map that would be most appreciate at allstate insurance route map or allstate insurance moto map. I am an affiliate of allstate and thus I am using their web pages for my map, thanks. David Lipsky

Wow John, getting in your ride across America early in the year! When you have a definite itinerary and route, be sure to post it. I have a couple of weeks off in March, and am "only" a couple of hundred miles north of Houston. Perhaps I can make it down that way.

Great news to hear you got another 'Wing and a 1500 too! Now that you're retired you can take trips as they should be done. Don't set a tight itinerary, just go as you want, make long days if the mood strikes or make side trips and little trips as you feel. Take your time and enjoy it. Pitch the alarm clock out.

But at least now, "the job" and its' worries are behind me. And thank you too Paul, looking forward to seeing you again and again. We've made two NASSIRs together, and I'm looking for more. It is nice now to be able to ![]()

I have had several requests to PM or post or whatever, the route I will use to bring my new steed home. All I can say on that is, that it is going to loosely resemble the attached map. But keep in mind, this is going to change from hour to hour depending on who wants to meet up for a Meet 'n Greet So, with that said, I will have a brand new Rand McNally with me, and be using that to see what looks interesting in front of me. The I-10 will be my loose guide for heading west, but I may or may not be using it at any given time. I have mentioned before, that I will have a GPS tracking service with SPOT and it will have a website available for all of you to track where I am at any given 1/4 hour increment. so, with that info, and my cell phone, and nightly updates when I stop, I hope to meet as many of you as possible within reasonable constraints for "you all" and me. So, here it is: The Route looks sort of like this ![]() when I reach Lordsburg, NM, I am going leave I-10 and head up to Stafford, AZ and then Globe, AZ and then to home. So, looking forward to meeting you all and finding as many DQ's as we can Here is a link to a Google map that shows my general intentions. Click on my route and drag it towards you and see how that effects the mileage The trail of the White Knight Someone named it for me, it just might stick

Just saw the tread. Nice bike. Looks like the rear valve stem is turned to the high side so you can check the air with it on the side stand. I-75 is ate up with big trucks, I mean lots of them. I do not mind a ride to almost anywhere, just go, so as it gets close and if a game plan emerges, sounds like a good excuse to go somewhere to me. Be safe on your trip. Kit

We might just be able to swing the funds to come down there and camp for the weekend. I just hope my wife is back from Texas by then. She's going out there tomorrow for a month to help her sister deal with some family matters.PARTY AT BAGGY'S HOUSE!!!!

Folks are suggesting I avoid I-75, think I will use the 98 close to the coast line.
