Being nowhere near your flightpath, I shouldn't even post.
But, knowing long open stretches myself, I use the super-slabs when I either need to get somewhere or when when I want to hammer-down and open it (any of 'em) up. Sometimes with a bit-o-viciousness. Well most-times, really.

That's a long ride you're planning IMB though. The kind of which I've done, albeit rarely. I'd slab in/outta the cities then divert when/where available.

Use that CB... Channel 19 and let them big-trucks tell you what's up front while slabbing. I've followed many-a-truck @ 85mph+ with never-a-worry. They's be Professional Runners at getting it done. :)

Did I just say that? :?

Yep I agree. I-75 is one busy interstate. That is a find looking motorcycle. Have a great time bringing her home

:action::action:  I never heard a thing, must be your imagination  :cooldevil:

I have a fantastic Valentine One radar detector, but for this trip.... nah!!

This trip is going to be one of pleasure and easy going.  I will get home, when I get home and the girls here in the house have been told that.

that is the reason I am buying the SPOT gps tracker, they can check on me and see that dot move every 10-15 minutes and know that the rubber side is still down.  :cooldj:

gotta get busy and start doing leg crunches to be sure they still know how to keep it balanced at a stop  :P  ;)

Ah, it felt good.   Oh yes, today was a new day in my new life.

Why?   Ummmmm, let me count the ways.

1)  gave Mardonna a good kiss to start the morning  :kissing:

2)  checked the internet..... :action:  wow! it is still working today :clapper:

3)  oogled the goodies on the internet to see what "I really need now" :D

4)  got in the car and started off to find my local m/c vendor service shop
D&D Discount Motorcycles to say hello to Mel and Mark.

spent a couple of hours browsing their shelves finding new goodies.

Opened my wallet and pulled out some funny green looking things fluttering their wings for flight  :bat::bat::bat:

A)  Brand new Joe Rocket winter gloves 0876-0006

with padding (for you know) on the knuckles and finger joints.   $34.00 marked down from nearly $80   They have gobs of them, bought out a vendor who slid down the tubes.

B)  Tried on helmets :cooldevil:

oh, that felt good again, oh yeah...  HJC  SyMax III (II?) with the inner sun shield behind the flip front clear shield.   $223 down from $280

C)  Silks (tm) helmet liner....  hope that helps keep down that gymnasium breath after each ride

D)  a new RAM mount to fit the right handle bar so I can take my camera and toys with me :cooldevil:

oh yes, life is good again.

dreams of a pretty White Knight wanting to head home to poppa....

Money to pay for the dreams has been arranged for, and them legal beagles can go walk in the halls of brimstone for all I care. I ain't waiting any more.

Ya'll get them maps out, cause I am heading for Flor ee day "real soon now", ya heah?  :coollep:

check in on the same station, same time, tomarrah and see if I'm coming up for air yet?  :cooldj:

CONGRATS ON THE BIKE! Here is wishing you a GREAT TRIP home!! If your route gets adjusted to within a 100 miles or so of the DFW area I will come out and meet you somewhere. I have seen posted that I-10 west of Houston can get a bit boring.
No offense to anyone living west of Houston!!! Lots of places like that in Texas especially in the Panhandle.
Again Congrats
David

Hey John,

Great looking bike. I know what you mean about the Panhandle, I was born and raised in White Deer and my brother lived in Fritch for 25yrs. Hope you have a safe trip back home. I'm in the process of getting another Wing, hope to have one as nice as yours someday.

Yeah,  11 years was long enough kind of....  nothing much pretty around there, but a lot of good folks that I made great friends with.   Sadly though, we have lost touch as we all grew a bit older.... :coollep:

I see Keller is a bit too far north for us to meet on this trip, but just maybe when I go to Lebanon, OK for our family reunion in June (father's day) we might be close ennough together then.

Keep us informed when you are for sure coming. Onawingandaprayer will keep me informed and perhaps we could all meetup for a short ride before I have to head back to Canada at the end of March.

I was very envious of your new ride when I saw it last winter.Beautiful Bike in Pristine condition.Congrats to you. Ours is a 98 Black in colour. We love it.

Congrats, great looking bike.  Enjoy the trip :waving:
Wish I could say I'd ride down to meet you, but March is a busy month for me :(

I'm glad that March keeps you in a job, but we shall meet up another time.

My family reunion is June 17th at Lebanon, OK and after that I am traveling east through Arkansas on the way up to Fort Wayne, IN.

Perhaps then?
