Sandy,

You are on!  :action:

Gotcha in my cellphone and looking to visit with you.  Watch my Sat Tracker map, that will give you a clue a day or two in advance of when I am getting close to you.

Looks like we will be crossing paths on the way back John.
Look for the green Durango with the black trailer and some type of BMW one banger in the back.

I'll wave at the white 1500s I see.

Still trying to work out a "catch you on the road" in looking at all the posts, looks like, Sunday-Monday headed towards Panama City? Blue Highways or interstate? Gotta go do that CPR/First aid on Saturday, but when you have an idea of your route to PC, would like to know.

It looks like I can make it, but Harleygirl is questionable. I don't think my 1500 will be ready by then, so I'll have to ride the 1200. :action:

The route most likely will be following 98 staying south of the slab.  I want to follow the coast line as much as I can.

AND,  FOR  ALL  OF  YOU  NERVOUS  NELLIES  :waving:

I  AIM   TO   DO   A   FEW   MILES   BY   MYSELF,
BEFORE  I LOAD UP MICHAEL AND GO DOUBLE.

I AM ALL TOO AWARE OF THE TIME AWAY FROM THE SADDLE.
I WILL BE ALLOWING LOTS OF COASTING ROOM, AND STAYING CLEAR OF THE SLABS AS MUCH AS I CAN AND AWAY FROM FREIGHTLINERS  :hoppingmad:

Now, back to normal print.

I will be using the SAT NAV Tracker so you all can see where I am, and each morning I will post an intended route that we probably will start out on.  I have a few  "must do stops" that are on the list.   I will post those here in a few minutes. It is my itinerary, so you all can see where I intend to be on certain days, sorta ......  Houston is locked in stone,  everything else is liquid gold sunshine to enjoy

I will be calling my stop over friends the day before to let them know I am intending on trying to meet up with them.  right now, once I leave the general Tampa area headed north, I will be meeting up with Jimsjinx and Xtracho at
Hardies Restaurant
2633 Highway 231
Cottondale, FL 32431-7325

(850) 352-1097
Full-screen

Before or after, I sample Ruth's cooking at Mark's place "Xtracho" not sure just now.  :coollep:

later in a few, got some packing to do.

Oh, I bought a new HJC symax II helmet tonight from D&D Discount Motorcycles in Tempe, AZ.

They are my one and only servicing dealer when I am home.

they treat me right, and they always know me by name, and made me promise tonight to bring the White Knight to their place first off :waving:

We are about 4 hours from Houston. Down Hwy 59 to Victoria and then Hwy 77 to Corpus. That’s the easy way. We are 2 hours from San Antonio. up I 37. addy is 6804 Falling Leaf Circle. 78413 . My phone is 361-946-2648.

That sounds like fun. Let me know when you come through and I will do what I can. Need a place to stay I have a 40 foot 5th wheel in the back yard that you guys are welcome to crash out in.. We call it the Wilkerson Bed and Breakfast when all the relatives decide to show up.   If not I will try to ride up and meet ya'll somewhere. Just let me know.   When is your trip planned for?
Steve
We have the Lexington Air Craft Carrier here as a museum now. Great place to go.

Do you have time to visit the Alamo???? That would be a must see for me. Also we are getting into the Texas fight for independence season. March 2 was the day Independence was declared. The fight at the Alamo was in March.

In Goliad they do a reenactment of the fight there . We take our Boy Scout troop to see it every year. Lots to see and do.  Too much stuff and not enough time.

Anyway... you guys are more than welcome. After all, YOU have helped me tremendously with learning about my Wing. can’t wait to meet you all.

Last minute change, just happened at 0245 hours this A.M.

My step-son Michael can't fly down with me tomorrow, he will be delayed until next Wednesday and have to catch up with me at the next stop.

so, it seems that the Good Lord, in his own inimitable way, has chosen to allow me to get a few miles on the bike solo whilst my skills return to normal.

Amen!
