Looks like it could be near the elk feeding station between the Tetons and Jackson. The Elk Horn arches that were in the city park in jackson were built with sheds collected from the feeding area.

I find it to be much more of an adventure if your schedule is loose. We have found ourselves in an area where we were not planning on staying, but find something interesting. Some of the best roads or rides I have been on were not part of the plan. There are lots of great motorcycle roads around Yellowstone and the Black Hills. That being said, you don’t want to pull into Cody, after dark, only to find that every room in town is booked due to the 4th of July Rodeo. I would set up a schedule and at least check the availability for rooms, create a list of possible motels with phone numbers and might make a few reservations that can be cancelled. Tourist towns like Deadwood, Redlodge, Jackson Hole, Cody, West Yellowstone and Gardiner are great places to visit, but it could be hard to get a last minute room. Rooms or cabins in Yellowstone need to be reserved way in advance. A few years ago we rode through the Black Hills and Yellowstone. We had reservations for every night and ended up canceling most of them. On the trip we went last fall to Arizona on we set up reservations for the first few nights and after that we either found a room or made a reservation the day before. We had a laptop with us to google stuff. CLICK FOR PICTURES

When I list hotels on my Garmin gps it has the phone numbers listed. I've used it a few times when I knew where I was heading I could look up the hotels in the area and call earlier in the day to reserve a room for the night. Had a cow bison with a calf in South Dakota give me a snort as I went by on the bike. I didn't look her in the eye when I passed I wasn't going the challenge her While you are considering your clothing layers, keep in mind that your rain suit makes a nice windproof outer layer. That rain suit can increase the warmth of your other gear quite a bit.
