I have to head out to AZ from GA to drop off a bike for my brother this month.
The trailer will be empty for the return trip.

If anyone needs to have a bike (or whatever fits, up to 1200 lbs.) transported from anywhere between AZ and GA (or any two points along the way) on the return trip, I'd be willing to take a 10 minute break to load it and take it wherever it goes along my route back to GA for free.

That would save the normal shipping cost of about $600 based on the quotes I got trying to get it out there in the first place.

The trip route will be the I-10 run pretty much.
I will do the I-20 / I-10 run going out west just to change up the scenery.

This is a marathon run but I could make a few 10 minute doggy walk breaks along the way for a handshake or two if the timing and location were right.

Return trip departs AZ on Mar 19.  It is an open trailer with bike sled and wheel chock.

Let me know before then if interested...

Rudy.. John is coming from Florida on his way back to Az. He is supposed to be in Houston on the 20th. We have a group that is getting together to meet up with him. If you can't postpone departure (or stay over a day or 2) in Houston, then let us know when you are coming through and maybe we can meet up with you.....

Current plans call for me to be staying over in San Antonio heading east on the 20th.

That should put me on the Houston track early to mid afternoon on the 21st.  I have to be home the evening of the 22nd.

I don't have a lot of jiggle room on this trip.

Let me know if anything works in the time slot for you.

Looking to be in Meridian, MS that night but N.O. might be possible too.

Hey Ric, if you have time, holler at me when you come through Tuscaloosa and we can grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. I live about 3 miles off of I59/20 and there are several good places to eat right in the area with places for gas and what not.

Jeff

Might be a good place for a Fletcher break.  That would be on the 10th or 11th evening depending on which day we get out of here.  If we end up leaving early Thursday, it would be around lunchtime I'd guess.

Sounds great buddy, there are several places that have large grassy areas around them to let Fletcher run around and take care of his business that are right off the interstate.

Just holler at me when you get ready to head out so I'll know when you might be coming through.

It will all depend on how it's going by then.  Thanks!

Hey Rudy,

If you're coming I-20 you'll come within six miles of my house.  I'd love to come out and buy you a meal somewhere around 20 and 69 if you have time for a stop.  If interested, I'll pm you my phone number.

It's a family adventure this time.  Thanks for the offer.  I wouldn't have room to pick up a hobo with all the crap I have to take along. :byebye:

I just printed out the TX list for GLHelpers.com.  If you are in there, I might already have it.
I just do a search on each state code that I will be traveling through and then print and carry it with me.  Works real good.

Will try to see how things go but it would be fun to meet up and take a short break.

Thanks! That's the way to do it, for sure.  Now I can go reprint TX.

It's shaping up a little better.  Looks like we'll be heading out early Thursday morning, now.
So that should put us in the Shreveport area that evening rather than Meridian, MS as was originally projected (barring any more routine changes), that is.
