I'd say after market. Could be any brand.

Looks like an adapted car shock. The 76 1000 I had didn't have air shocks as stock.

Without any doubt its not a stock air shock.....To me it looks like something JCWhitney might have sold at one time....JCWhitney used to sell a lot of aftermarket stuff for bikes...One of the light bars I took off my First wing had these strip lights, Whitney did offer them just after I bought that Wing, but I messed around and bought two light bars from a member....Then about two years ago I got a E-mail notification that they were selling out on those lights...I missed out on the sizes I needed...They now sell LED light bars but again not in the lengths I needed.....

Interesting, I've had several 1100s including the Aspencade, Interstate and Standard and none of them had a shock like that. All the OEM shocks that I'm aware of had internal springs. I'd have to say a stock shock with the upper shroud peeled off.

MDKramer wrote: I'd have to say a stock shock with the upper shroud peeled off. They are certainly not stock. They are about 1/4" shorter than a stock shock too. I may clean them up and try to use them to see how they work.

no they are not stock i pulled the ones off and measured them and they are about a 1/2 inch shorter and the air ones actually raised my ride height almost 3/4 of an inch i thiink they are just an aftermarket style that is no longer available they almost look like progressive set shocks that you set the cam and leave them but they are air assisted so ive never seen anyone with another set until now there is no boot its just a chrome spring and shock assembly for looks i bet
