I really like the 1500 I have in the garage BUT the question was: "Which of the wings do you think is the coolest of the bunch?" If we're talking just a stock bike the way it came from the factory I have to say I'm a purist. I think this bike is the coolest. It's not the fastest. It's not the most comfortable. It's not the best handling. It's not the most economical. As a matter of fact, it's at the top of the list in only one category - well, maybe 2 because it's black - and that is the COOL category. If Honda still sold these I'd buy one in a second.

And it should really be a '79 with the nicer turn signals, master cylinder, etc.. I used to have a bike like this and loved to rip all the Vetter stuff off it once in a while and ride around town. And I knew it was cool because everyone told me it was. They'd roll down their windows at red lights to make sure I knew. Guys would shout at me from the sidewalk, giving me the thumbs up. What an ego boost. And all I was doing was riding a COOL bike.

I love the 1800, but have a real liking for the LTD, or especially the SEi, with a few mods.

I'm not for sure but I like that 1995 Pearl Green GL1500, or the 86 Aspy, maybe the 82 1100 in the garage, but I own all of them so it's a toss up.

I'm partial to an '82 standard with Vetter gear and a giant man in a Santa suit on the seat.;) But the other posters who say "any wing in your garage" have it nailed down pretty solid.
On the other hand, I saw a flat-black Valkyrie Interstate with carbon fiber pipes on E-bay the other day and just about wet myself. It looked like a GL rat bike and I thought it was the coolest boxer-engine bike I'd ever seen. I'd post the link but the listing's expired.

This one.  I loved the 6 packs as soon as they showed up.

As a result, product availability will be hit or miss during the transition, both at the web store and at Cyclemax. SmartLights are discontinued with the possibility of occasional small batches being made if there is interest. The transition will be gradual and I will continue to make items as I am able. Please expect extended delivery times. If you have a specific need, please let me know and I will attempt to accommodate you. I thank you all for your friendship, support and loyalty.

I've never met a Goldwing I didn't like!

But if I have to pick which I think are the coolest looking it would have to be the older ones.  The GL1000, GL1100, and GL1200 because to me they still look like motorcycles.  You can still see engine hanging in the frame, etc., etc.

Mine's the GL1200 so of course that's my favorite.  After the GL1200, all the integrated body panels just took too much of that look away for my taste.

But, hey, if you want to give me a new GL1800, I'll take it...  ugly headlights and all!

Just too darn many to choose from,  but I do lean to the "84"  Standard.

Mine's on the end, haven't unpacked yet...                             :gunhead:

The coolest is never the one in the garage, it is the one which is under your butt on the road. Oh and if it is RED

Hey Rudy:
It looks like the red in that NO PARKING sign is almost the same color as your bike. :)
