It is now only hours away and I will travel to North Texas to pick up the 82 1100 Aspy that I have worked diligently to obtain. Much appreciation goes to a fellow-forum-member "Wolfblade" for working me and saving the bike for me while I got the $$ together. Thank you Mr. G. Several questions have been posted and so many of you have provided wise counsel as I have readied myself for this venture. May I ask one more? I will trailer the bike back home...better judgment is prevailing rather than jumping on it and keeping my fingers crossed that it would make it 300 miles. Once I have it home, what steps would you follow in making certain that "all is in order"? I am no mechanic but I do have tools and can follow directions...may take me a while but I finally finish. Your counsel is appreciated. T

Full inspection, full flush and fill all fluids and or filters... if belts have not been done DO THEM NOW. Be prepared to replace brake pads if needed and make sure tires are up to snuff.... THEN RIDE AND ENJOY!
