I took Wannabe out yesterday (sunday) morning to a quiet industrial area not too far from us. Once there, I told her that today she gets some riding practice in.:action:
I had a camera in my pocket, so here are the results of K's little spins.:action:
Please excuse the wind noise,:( if I had known it was going to be that bad I would have taped the mic.

Enjoy.

Looks like she definitely has the hang of it, except she's riding on the wrong side of the road. :waving:

She looks great on it. A little rusty but she's got the feel for the bike. Congrats are in order. Tony:action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action::action:

LOL, ya know, once she gets her confidence up, it's your wing she's gonna be lookin' at next.

And I sooo remember that smile she had on her face when she got off, there is nothing like the exhileration of those first rides.

Good show Wannabee, hey wait a minute, I just realized, she's gonna have to change that name. She's a officially a Wannabee no more.

My fist thought too....Wrong side of the road, :cheeky1:....Then it dawned on me that is the "Right" side of the road....As we told our students in the learn to ride classes, practice, practice, practice....I bought my wife a V-1000 Moto Guzzi, had it lowered, and a custom made lower seat and she doing really great...Until one afternoon when she pulled over to the edge of the street...There was a drop off and her short legs couldn't reach the pavement, Hell my feet couldn't reach the pavement in that spot.......She didn't exactly drop it but instead rode it down into the ditch in front of our home, getting off before it fell over....That scared her and no matter how many times after that, we couldn't get her  back on it....That was my fault not getting her one more like the one wannabe has....But shes doing great just get in some more practice.....

Claude....

Good job !! I wish I could get mine on one , but she is not really crazy about riding one .
Is that the 700 0r 750 magna ! ? Which year? Those are great engines , very fast and hold value very well .

Thank you all!

I think I should point out that the Super Magna is Chippy's bike, (or should that be baby?:action:) so I consider myself very honoured that he has enough confidence in me to let me ride her ....... thank you Phil, it was great to ride again, albeit very nervously!

It's a 750, 1988 SuperMagna. 6 speed and shaft drive.
When I bought the bike, it was a bit ropey looking but full of potential. It took a little while to get some missing bits and to heap loads of TLC to get it where it is now.

Very low seat (around 27" I think), low centre of gravity, which makes it ideal for Karen practice on to build her confidence.

But as you pointed out, it is also very quick, and 'grabbing a handful' is something to be avoided.:smiler:

Karen did the CBT in the UK before she moved to Ireland, and although she has let that lapse (now has to start from square one again), it has been a while since she has actually driven a bike, and I think she did really well on sunday... :applause::applause:
:ssshh:(I'm quite proud of her, but don't tell her..):ssshh:

Did'nt even stall it when letting out the clutch, thats very unusual, usually what happens 80% of the time is they stall it three or four times until they get a feel for the clutch
but that part was'nt caught on video was it LOL She's doing
good,has the feel for it.

That part wasn't on the video because it didn't happen - I spent a little time before I set off 'playing' with the clutch and the throttle to find the bite - and it worked! :waving:
