If you want to post a long URL, first copy the URL from the site using your right mouse button. Then type a name for your link in your posting highlight it with you left mouse button, left click on the insert link icon, the world and chain thingy at the top right of the
post box. That will open a box for you to paste your link into. You’ll need to put your cursor in the dialog box, hit backspace to clear the http: out of the box and right click your URL into it. Then just click OK. That should cause the font to turn bold under the highlight. Then just send it. It sounds a lot more complicated than it really is to do.
WOW! So that's how it's done!!!!! Thanks exvaid.

Third icon from the right end on top. I've edited the first post to include exavids instructions.

One other way to do it is to copy the URL as exavid mentioned above, then paste it into your message on it's own line using Shift-insert.
Then post the message and then go back and edit the message link again to say whatever you want. The actual URL will not change, only the representation of it in the post, then re-save it.
That way it works no matter what browser you use, not just the MickeySoft one. Always be sure to test it afterward in case the board software thought you needed some "extra" stuff in it.
If you want to get rid of it and start over, always delete the whole URL and place a new one in it's place since the background url never changes.
Remember don't cut and paste pictures, only links to pages or pictures on another site if you don't want the dreaded red X syndrome.
If you have some URL that won't post or work properly when you test it, go to
tinyurl.com and let it create a short url for you, then use that URL instead.
