hey guys... About the last thing I need to get my 1985 Aspy on the road is the hangar bolt.. (its a discontinued part, I know its just a bolt, but I cant find one)

Part # 90152-MG9-680 - approx 14" long.... 12mm bolt..

Its the bolt that holds on the floor boards/ engine guard and goes under through the bottom of the engine..

thanks..

Cheers..

You could use 7/16 diameter allthread that you could get at your local hardware store.

1/2" will fit in a '70 so I'd expect it would fit in the  1100 and 1200.

Yes, I guess this isn't a show stopper as an threaded run will work. I was thinking a 7/16" with a grade 8 hardness. But I'll try a 1/2" to see if it will fit, its pretty tight on a 12mm though, so not sure.  I would rather have the correct piece though, if possible. But hell or high-water, she'll be on the road soon..

Thanks guys

Hello Sprat. If you can give me the right size in metric I will call my Bolts pluse guy tomorow. Even though its one bolt he will get it for me. I'm not far from you and will ride out to you with it.:waving:

I hope you get the bolt you're looking for. If not I tried a 1/2" all thread and it fit both a 1000 and 1100 in the shop so it should fit a 1200.

Hey All;
I'm happy to report that a 1/2" allthread will fit.
It only took me about 1.5 hours. And the second time I did it (correctly) only took about 45 minutes. (I racked up the end on the first go, and couldn't get the nut on, good thing it comes in 3' lengths)The spacers for the floor boards had to be threaded, but no big deal. (I didnt want to search for a 1/2 drill bit.)
Thanks to all for your offers and ideas..
Cheers..
