Thanks for the well wishes and all the support everyone has provided over this first year and a half.

I'm just now spinning up the fall and winter production so the lead times are dropping.
The products continue to be as reliable as I had hoped or better.  I have only had two warranty replacements that have been necessary so far.

Also I'm working on the 1800 version of the SmartLight Gearhead model thanks to the support Kit has provided and I'm about to announce some new plastics products as well.  One of which is an easy and quick trunk lid reinforcement kit for support of the 1500 luggage racks and as soon as I get my hands on an 1800 lid, will be for the 1800 trunk lids as well.

Also this week I have shipped the first ABS Patch Kits for doing fairing and lid repairs for those already suffering from the dreaded spider vein crack problems and those who want to stop running cracks from getting worse.  These may be used stand alone or along with additional black ABS cement repairs.

Two versions of those are going on the web grid this week.  One that is a 6 patch kit in 1/8" thickness patches, ready to apply and one that is a larger 4 patch kit in 1/4" thickness.  Both with Adhesion Promoter packets included.

I shipped the first two out last Friday to a member in need.

Once I get the new products in bags and some inventory built, I hope to begin marketing the product line through some better known sellers.

As most of you know, I like helping riders solve problems with their bikes and these and future products will continue to be designed and marketed for that purpose.

Thanks everybody who has supported this effort. :byebye:

Frank

I have a version of it for the 1800 ready, short of the installation manual.  It is not too different from the 1500 except the module goes under the passenger seat area
It runs $10 more than the 1500 Gearhead because of the longer wires necessary to reach for the gear sense cable and the LED and to make the extra plugs for it.

The downside on the 1800 is getting to where Honda stuck the gear position switch plug (just above the front left cylinder, in the engine area).  It is tedious to get to (like so many things are on the 1800) and most folks don't want to make the effort to get in there that far.  That is the only reason we have not released it publicly.

We have a 'dummy' plug supplied with it that is used ignore the gear indicator feature until such time as you get around to installing the gear cable at your convenience.  Like when you are in that far for other reasons, for example, or over the winter.  Then it would be a simple matter of removing the dummy plug from the SmartModule and plugging in the gear cable and the gear indicator feature would, then, come to life.

All that said, we will be happy to make them for anyone who wants them.
The code in the SmartModules is the same as for the 1500 version so the modules are actually interchangible and operate identically which is nice for those with both a 1500 and an 1800, like you have or had.
We can assist by PM or email.

PM me or email me if you are interested.
Thanks  :byebye:

Just got the Smart Lite installed on the 1800 this last week (had it for 2 months).  Took me that long to tackle the plug for the gear selector.  A reletive pain in the tush.

I am really glad I got off my butt and have it ready for my trip to Missouri next week as this little light make a great deal of difference in my confidence level.  It is really simple but tells you a lot about your charging system.

Great Product!  :claps:

Thanks Rudy

Steve

I'll be in Atlanta from January 16th, can I pick it up? Weather permitting I will drive the bike up there.

If you already have an order in for one, that shouldn't be a problem.
I'm out of stock for any that aren't already on order (as of Dec 5) and the one for the raffle.
I'm projecting availability for the next run around Feb 20 but I also have some in partial completion stages as work in progress, so let me know when you are sure you are coming and what you want and I will see if I can pull something together for you.

Thanks

It may be a good idea to unsticky this thread Rudy, and just leave the one for your Tether kits stickied.
