Check the battery. If it's a wet cell all the electrolite, (acid), might have drained out and you will need to give her a most thorough bath where the drainage occoured.

Welcome to the site!!

Well I left the garage door open a little one night and it got out when I wasn't looking.
Found it wimpering and shivering in the ditch in the morning. :)

And the damned thing was pregnant too.

:waving::waving:  Welcome to the World's Greatest Goldwing Site dave481!  :waving::waving:

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Check the battery as roscoe said. I'd check the oil level in the engine and the rear drive if the bike was tipped over more than flat on it's side. Ditto for the coolant.

So what happens when you try to start it? Does it crank normally?

I'm assuming you checked the kill switch, having that on wouldn't be a first with hard starting 'Wings.

If it cranks but won't start, pull a plug or use a spare one, reconnect it and lay it on the head and crank the engine to see if there's any spark. Let us know what you find out so we'll have a bit more to work with.

well, actually he never SAID his bike, wing, goldwing, or any reference to anything specific.  He didn't tell us where he is, so maybe he is referring to himself. :cheeky1: :cheeky1: :cheeky1:

Welcome to the forum. We need to know what happens when you hit the start button; Does nothing happen (are the lights working), or does it crank over but not start?
Give us as much detail as you can and we will  be able to help.

Hi Dave 481 ,,A big Irish welcome to this wonderful site ,,Can you put your location in your profile as there are members from all over the world here and it helps when we know what country you are in ,,

RE: the starting problem ,,Try the obvious first ,,KILL SWITCH ..make sure it is in the on position ,When  you hit the statrt button ,do not hold it on ,let it go and see does the bike kick ,,With the bike in a ditch overnight the battery mnay not be 100% and even though the engine is turning over fast ,there may not be enought in the battery to start it ,,Also check that the bank angle sensor is not stuck .This has been known to happen if the bike is old ,,Let us know what you have and have not tried ,,Cheers Ciaran

PS ,,AS YOU CAN SEE WE HAVE A FEW COMEDIANS HERE ,it is only to cheer you up ,:cheeky1::cheeky1:,But if you do have a pregnant cator dog, let RUDY know ,He may know the father .:cheeky1:

Turns out it was just Richard Simmons.
When I asked him who the father was he got mad and asked me if it thought he had eyes in the back of his head or something.
