So solar does have that little drawback. Ok, it will have to have a battery backup, I will put some thought into that today. A solar sensor out of a calculator and a watch battery for night use, a higher rpm motor with angled vanes, and it can call those deer in from yards away. I wonder if it works on those big birds that one farm has, I came around a corner the other day and this huge bird was standing in the road, called an Emu.....Imu, uno......something like that. I just call them ostrich for short. Kit

I think an emu is an ostrich that speaks like the late Tattoo Taffy.
No that's wrong, Taffy probably spoke with a Welsh accent.

I believe a nuclear powered deer alert would work great.

If I were actually posting to this thread (which I am not), I would mention that I'd rather have a nuclear powered deer removal system that launches from just below my fairing.
But since I'm not posting to this thread, I'll not mention that.

| I have hit three deer in my 52 years of driving. (Two in 10 days) I did not have deer 'whistles' on any of those vehicles involved. In the last 5 years I have had whistles on everything I own and have not hit a deer? They may or may not help but I doubt that they hurt!

PLEASE, enough already.
If you think they work, then by all means use them. If you think they do not work, then don't use them. There, problem solved!!
Have a Great Day.

Since I am not posting on this topic this question may not count.
What if they do work but act like a dog whistle and make the deer move? Then while they are moving since they don't know where the sound is coming from, they move in front of you in your direction of travel?
But again I'm not posting on this stupid topic.

Probably not Ciaran, I doubt the rabbits can run fast enough, especially when wrapped in a pie crust

Simple answer really! If they acted like a dog whistle they'd make dogs move and not deer!!

You'd probably have better results mounting them on the nose of the aircraft!
Just don't get caught doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps we should litter the countryside with Viagra laced alfalfa bales.
That way the bucks would be so busy they wouldn't even come near the roads and deer alerts would be unnecessary.
