I work in the gaming business for taverns. Everynow and then I will be working on a machine when a slightly inebriated patron will walk up and say "Hey what's wrong with that gizmo?" I simply reply "It's broken". "Well then what are you going to do to it?" "Fix it."

Or, we'll have the slate pulled out of a pool table, getting ready to put new cloth on it when someone will come up and say "Are you putting new cloth on the table?" To which we'll respond "No, we're going to rinse out the old one and put it back on."

Finally, and this may be a bit risque, after being bothered by said customers, is to reply: "Hey, why don't you go outside and play 'hide and go "f" yourself."

Regards,

Hobie

It's better to let someone think you are an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it.

The way we learned it

It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. :dude:
