You know, that's a GREAT idea! The only problem I have is installing something inside the helmet, but it's an idea...
You just piqued an idea... an LED clock below the vent. I could probably velcro something tiny there... perhaps some sort of analog clock combined with a digital LED thing. I'm going to measure that space and see what I can do. Scout Guy, you get a free one if I ever go into production!

That last line explains much. To borrow from General Patton, "All real Americans love duct tape."
Duct tape is wonderful thing, developed during WW II for the US Army as a method to apply a waterproof seal to ammo cans. It was called "duck tape" originally but over the years it became "duct tape" because the HVAC guys started using it and "Duck Tape" became a trademarked brand.
A roll of duct tape is probably one of the most important things that you can carry in your car. You can bind up a split hose with it or hold up your bumper after a deer attacks you.
Hikers carry some because it can be used to close wounds, prevent blisters, repair boots and tents, and possibly a thousand other uses. If you have enough duct tape, you can even make a raincoat.
Like the B-17 and P-51, duct tape is uniquely American.

| I like the looks of that black analogue clock. Would prefer the HUD display with speed, tach, clock and air temp. Not sure if I'd want it mounted on the windscreen or the helmet.

| My 83 Interstate has a analog clock as part of is instruments along with an outside temperature gauge.

The Mustang may have been used by the Americans, but it was designed for the British, by a ex-german, and almost refused by the US Army Airforce, and named by British, and it took a british designed engine to make it great.
Bit of trivia, It took 118 days from signing of the contract to first flight, the US name was the Apache, and was first accepted as a dive bomber.
