Actually, don't laugh, I've seen it done!  Not on the same bike, mind you, but someone had a tent in a 'pull-out' on the back of his bike, sort of like the blanket on horses back in the old-west days here in the US.  I also saw someone with a coffee-brewer (somewhat like a tea-maker) in his left saddlebag - although I don't have a clue how it was heated.

When I was in Afghanistan I always carried a little gas stove in my left cargo pocket (of my pants) and whenever we stopped I brewed some coffee (canteen cup and canteen were on my LBE or LCE, your choice of acronyms).  Not much, but enough to pass it around and at least get a taste...

If you have the will, you'll find the way.

Almost every truck stop/travel center along our major roadways have the 12V appliances. Coffee/tea pots have been out for a long, long time. Lately I've seen slow cookers and hot plates as well. Not sure I'd want to let a hot plate sit in my bag connected and unattended...

My uncle was a truck driver for years and if you rode with him, one of your "jobs" as rider was to make the morning coffee. The pot plugged into a cigarette light and made 4 cups. Well, it SAYS it made 4 cups but my uncle drank it all down in two.
