I tried to adjust the shifter on spline, so my toes do not scratch the asphalt when I shift in a left turn, but ajusted high enough, there is no room for the shifter to go higher then 2nd gear.  His there a modified shifter that can do the job (I accept the clunk, but I hate my toes scratching asphalt)

I had the same problem. I solved it by not shifting during a left turn. No need to with the 1500....plenty of torque.........
