honda charging ( or trying to ) $900.00 for a cb and $1100.00 for a cd  they gota be kidding.  this bike is not that special I really regrett having bought one.  won't do it again.  to charge that much is just stealing.  I can not belive people would stand for it and when I contacted honda about it they said ( buyer beware)  where did the honda I used to know go.

I don't understand why you are bitching about the price after you bought the bike, maybe you should have bitched to your dealer before the purchase:baffled:

james2001,

It does appear that you have internet access where there is a wealth of knowledge to find out all of the particulars before making a big purchase. Hopefully you will be better informed of major purchases from now on.

Hi James. Sorry to hear you're unhappy but I can help you.

I have a 98 SE with 111,000 miles. It has a radio and CB. I also have a matching trailer.

I'd be willing to trade you bikes even up and maybe even throw in the trailer. :baffled:

Heck, with that deal I wouldn't need a radio............I'd whistle all the time I'd be so happy :waving:

Ahhh. Buts its a radio and cb that the Pope himself has blessed. Its not just any cb or cd. Its OEM (Outrageously Expensive Merchandise).

Why not look at something aftermarket in tunes & talk. Your dealer could have told it you may be optional or you overlooked asking just figuring it came stock on it. Its like everything nowadays. They dont give nothing away anywhere. Heck, check the sticker, you may have been charged extra for the air in tires(Dealer Setup).

I wont be able to afford a new bike anytime soon, thats why I ride a dinasaur. But its paid for in cash and it isnt the biggest, newest or presttiest ride on the road. But I enjoy it just the same. YOu may even of gotten a deal on a bare 1800 and thats why.

What did you have to give for it if its new?Off the showroom floor?

I have a inexpensive Jensen cd/mp3 input stereo on mine for $59 and a Marine boat cover. SOunds great. CB.Nope. Maybe one of the handhelds later on.

Can you give more detail on what happened?

Funny thing is, I usually beef up the audio systems any way.  So in doing that, I can add whatever I want.  More watts, better speakers...
My MP3 player has an FM stereo reciever in it.  I can just plug it into the amp.
Same with a trunk mounted CD if you wanted that.
If you had more money than brains you could add a satellite radio.
There are bar mounted CB units and intercom sets.

You don't need Honda.  Just be glad you didn't get the GPS for Chrissake. :cheeky1:

Sounds like buyers remorse to me. Who would want a CD player any more anyway? Honda was nice enuff to install an AUX jack so that you can plug in an MP3, or an Ipod, both will give you the ability to have over 20,000 or more songs. You can plug in a Sat Radio and have several hundred channels. With a 6 disk CD changer you only get 70 to 80 songs.

How much will you sell me the bike for?

He's also very new.  We may not hear from him very much.

I hope he does enjoy the ride though.:grinner:
