Have done many a mile on past bikes. My 84' Aspencade was basically a commuter. 159,000 trouble free miles (except for those 2 stators) for my 170 mile a day commute. Next bike was probably IMO the best M/C ever made, a Honda ST1100. Not only a GREAT commuter it was also a GREAT bike for touring. Add a rack and a set of Helibars and a jell seat and you could just eat up the miles. The ST was replaced by an 04' BMW R1150GSA. Set up properly its been the best damn touring bike i've ever owned. My recent purchase of an 05' 1800 Goldwing was just as mentioned here by someone else as being a sport bike on steroids. Its a beast yet a beast thats silky smooth with power and tons of torque. Its now my weekend and daily ride. The BIG GSA will continue to be my RV/tourer.
