I am surprised to say the least that Honda has yet to make some specific changes to the extremely small kickstand that is responsible for keep the 1800 Wing upright. The foot of the stand is dangerous in that it quickly drills its way into any porous surface and then goes the Wing. If you carry along a pad to allow prevent the stand from digging into whatever surface you are parking on, you have to be a good shot to position the pad. Furthermore, if you have floor boards, you have to raise the board to access the very small stand. With the superb Wing that the guys turn out in Ohio, surely there is a solution to the size, access, stability and appearnce that they can make to this great machine. There's not really an OEM stand that works with the floorboards. The stand will not position properly when not in use-the floor boards prevent the proper position and, as a result, when you are cornering, the stand drags.

I agree with that. The footprint area of the stand could be made much bigger and still be out of the way when the stand is up so our jeans don't snag it.

E-YOW more buttons and wires?

Is there room left for, . . .  the bike?

Know its new taste, and be loyal, you'll know when, to change that oil.
Taste testing as the miles flow, souring as that acid grows.
And don't flirt with dirt or darkened oil, all the faster your engine will spoil.
If that soured oil turns to paste, new motors cost plenty, what a waste.
If friends find out, thy honor baste.(*)
Best get to it, with undue haste!

They do make a chrome aftermarket sidestand that has a very large footprint to keep it from sinking into the hot pavement.
