| Get rid of the push pull throttle cables nice neat wire control. Been doing it for 15 -20 yrs on tractor trailers surely they can come up with something for the wing. And a reliable frame!!!!!

Good one Chuck. Many new cars now have no accelerator cables, its all done by sensors now.

| What do you gain except more complication and less that you can work on?

Hey "Serious Suggestions" is the words that the wingnut uses in the last line of his Intro to this Thread.
The Goldwing is a m/cycle not a cage. The next thing some of you guys will be looking for is "Air Con"

Is it not the job of the folks at Honda, that we hope to influence, to decide what is a sensible suggestion, with us merely debating whether we might want the ideas put into practice. Surely even air con is not such a bad idea, judging by the riding conditions that some on here endure.

| I think it would neaten up the appearance of the bars, should make an improvement in control with more accurate input, simplify the reinstalling of tupper ware not having to worry about the routing of the cables which can be a beast if they slip out of where they are suppose to be. Can be made an integral part with cruise control there by simplifying that too. If it is done right there should be no need to work on it. It runs pretty flawlessly for 100s or thousands of miles on trucks.

Sensor throttle operation is actually a sensible idea. Less cables etc cluttering up the bars. How sensors would fare in the real world of rain, snow and frost is another matter though. Remember that a good number of car makers have gone back to cable operation due to problems with newer systems.

| Costly, too. If I remember right, the Cat footpedal is about 1000.00. I imagine the Cummins, and Detroit Diesel pedals are about the same.
