Now I know I made the right decision when I removed my shocks and had my local shop put the progressive springs in for $20, That's a lot of work!
Great job and great pics!

For $20 I think you got a good deal.

| My local shop wouldn't pop out the seals for $20.00. They told me that my shocks were not rebuildable.

| I see that BikeBandit.com also has those Progressive shock springs for the GL1100's. Has anyone replaced them? Is it the same procedure as shown here for the 1200's? My left rear shock is already leaking oil and I've already bought a pair of replacement seal's from Honda to do both shocks. If I'm in there replacing the seal, I'd like to replace the springs too.

I still have not rebuilt my rear shocks yet. Waiting until Jan or so as I'm still riding it back and forth to work. I still haven't decided whether to replace the little inside springs or not. I might just by new Progressive's instead. But I'd still rebuild my original ones with new seals and then sell them.
As for the $20 to put in new springs, a local bike repair shop (in Lawrence, KS) quoted me $225 to rebuild the stock shocks with just new seals.
