I figured I would post this in a separate thread as some people may not read 10 pages into the previous thread to find out about it.

Thanks to some very generous contributions, along with my own collection, I've put a bunch of service, owners and parts manuals on my server for anyone to download. You can access them here:

http://goldwing.soylentgeek.com

Please right-click and save the files to your local hard drive, before viewing them, so it doesn't download it from my server every time you look at them.

If anyone else has some more files they wish to contribute, let me know and I will post them.

Great stuff Scott. I'll PM the wingnut and ask him to sticky this or move it somewhere where it won't get lost.

Thanks Scott,

I have purchased all the Paper Manuals and even one on CD for Parts for the 1500.

But it's so much easier to search for something in an electronic version of the manual.

You can search for a word or a text string and even a Part name to bring you right to the part of the manual you need.

It also brings up other areas you may have missed while just paging through a paper manual going to only the area you are interested in.

Searching ROCKS.

Regards,

Mohawk

I've had a few people email me saying they had trouble downloading these large files, or the file was corrupted after downloading, etc....most of which were using dial-up (shudder) to connect.

For downloading large files from the Internet, you really need to use a download manager, instead of relying on the rather crappy one built into your web browser. This goes double if you are using dial-up. These download managers will download in simultaneous multiple sessions, resume aborted or failed downloads, and much more. I swear by (not at) one called GetRight http://www.getright.com however there are lots more out there that I'm sure work just as well.

GSMacLean, thanks for the great info.  I also have the GL1200 Audio manual that you may want to post on your site.  If so, PM me with your E-mail and I will send it to you.  It's about 3.5 MB.

You are surely a true member of G.W.R.R.A and you proved it with your generosity

"You are surely a true member of G.W.R.R.A and you proved it with your generosity"

So are you saying that if you are generous you are automatically assumed to be a GWRRA member?

Are you saying that there are no generous non-GWRRA members?

Are you saying that there are no GWRRA members that are not generous?

That message is so obtuse, I can't make logical sense of it.

Sorry, maybe I'm just a dense semi-generous GWRRA member.
