Finally get some nice weather again. Got the frame redone & brace & cut the corners off. Next trim the truck area to clear the rear end.

Sitting level & pretty. Sat the truck on for lookly see. Now should I put fender flairs or cut the fenders & move them out? Will need to cut wheel opening to clear the larger 17" rims & tires. Now to cut clearance for the Aux Gas Tank. I'd just cut the fenders to size then put flares on it. Also it's a trunk, not a truck!!!

you know me. i say cut the fenders make um wider. that way the tires will clear without trimming the wheel lips on the fenders. it takes longer but it will look so much better.

It's a 50/50 on the fenders. Surprise! the trunk hinges are glued in! Boy, the carpet sure was glued in also, nice job done. Aside from the cracks you can see on the back of the body, the trunk is broken off the full length of the rear body' One hinge is broken off, A lot of cracks in the get coat, the inside is paint so can't see how much damage, The trunk lid is broken apart. Had to cut 6" off the nice large trunk to clear the IRS cage & gas tank, Cut 1/2' off each side panel to clear the gas tank. However, the body fits perfect on the 2" x 3" tubing welded on top of the cage. Will be doing all of the body work & repairs, plus new tail lights & prepping the body to make a mold before I do the fender mods. May go down to 16" rims. There should be a lot of picture of this as I move along. Skip20

That looks much nicer Skip. And you won't be throwing sand and gravel all over the sides of your hard work. I don't know about where you are, but some cops out here will give a guy a bad time if tires protrude from coverage very far. As long as you're splitting fenders, you could put a couple big Cadillac fins on too, for something really different

http://www.gotobed.com, eh? I was putting leaf springs back in the truck this afternoon, and had some emails to catch up on and some drawing to do after I relaxed a bit over a movie with the kids. Heck, if I don't really try hard, I'm nocturnal anyway. That might have something to do with our long winter nights and being born on Winter Solstice! One more email and I can rest . . . Cadillac fins, yeah, that's the ticket

I would have to think about the Cadillac fins May not go with the new gauge panel I ordered. Why the new leaf springs back in the truck, carry all that new money? Cadillac fins would make you the Arlen Ness of the Goldwing world I'm sure you can find something to mount in that Wing Panel. I'm really surprised at how many calls I've been getting for those now that they are "going away". One fellow was going to put a XM radio controller in his and another an LCD display.
