Greetings,
I am a one-at-a-time motorcycle restored.   My current project is a '75 Honda
GL 1000 Gold Wing.  This will be a 100 percent restoration.
As of the email I have two needs.
1st I wish to paint the bike with the Antares Red color.   ( it came in the green)
I do not know of any paint supplier with this color.  Can any of you help?
2nd I am in need of the silver/gray paint for the engine & component items.
If anyone can advise me on either or both of these needs I would truly appreciate
your help.
Thank you,  Marty Spalding

PPG has a great data base of bike colors. Having the color scanned sometimes works well but only with a single base color. A double base such as wineberry R114cu, will never come close with a scan. A good jobber(dealer) will call PPG for the formula. Most often, the jobber's data base will be limited to cars/trucks. If he tells you PPG doesn't have a formula, have him call. They probably do have one. If not, call me I'll get my supplier to find out. Ben 814-866-6607. The Last Detail By Ben Pike.

Does anybody know a place to get the pinstripe kits. I have a battery cover that was repainted but the pinstripe needs to be applied.

Hi Steve: Minor changes to the paint codes, 1986 Aspencade:

They can be regional: ie: some colors never get imported to Canada. I didn't follow the thread, just noted a discrepancy on the main list. Cheers,

Andy

            Code      Paint Name     Comment

1986  YR135  Twilight Beige Two-Tone Beige/Red-Secondary

PB155  Pearl Marlin Blue Two-Tone Blue
         PB141  Satellite Blue       Two-Tone Blue-Insert Color
         NH152M  Trophy Silver    Two-Tone Silver/Gray
         NH152    Tempest Gray Metallic  Two-Tone Silver/Gray-Insert Color

This info is awsome.

I know most of the Honda pinstripes are transfers/stick-on but does anyone know if there colour codes for painting on pinstripes to match original bodywork?

thank you so much for the work you put into making this list of paint color names & codes.  I work for a Motor Trike dealer and getting the paint color name correct for our website and estimates is crucial.  I found your site today and it has helped so much.  Now I don't have to Google paint color by year and hope to find something.  I know exactly where to go now!  Thanks!!:applause:

Just a note to tell you all that the "Merced Green Pearl" 99's, have a panel color that is no longer avail. at ColorRite, called Dark Merced Green. I found that mixing a tiny bit of black to the Merced green pearl, will get you almost perfect panel color. I just added a drop of black pigment at a time, to the paint I got from ColorRite till I got it what I thought was close, and it was danged near perfect match!! I put some in an empty touch up felt pen, and that works great for chips. jimsjinx

Hello
I'm looking for a seat (for a customer of mine) for a gl1500 se 1993. The strange thing is that the color is black NH1Z but from reference that color was for the interstate/aspencade only. Moreover the the byke is black with gold decal.... I didn't find any reference about that color scheme. The plastics are brown....
Have you any idea about the seat color? Now it has a corbin seat....
